Home My WebLink AboutEPURA RESOLUTION 32200RESOLUTIONNO.322ARESOLUTIONOfTHEESTESPARKURBANRENEWALAUTHORITYTOAMENDTHECONSTRUCTIONADMINISTRATIONSERVICESCONTRACTWITHDESIGNSTUDIOSWESTWHEREAS,DesignStudiosWest(DSW)isundercontracttoprovideconstructionadministrationservicestotheEstesParkUrbanRenewalAuthority(EPURA)relativetoPhase1ofPerformancePark;and‘WHEREAS,intheevolutionoftheconstructionoftheprojectitbecamenecessarytoaddressseveralissueswhichwerenotanticipatedintheoriginalscopeofwork,includingtherelocationandundergroundplacementofutilities,trashandwasteenclosuredesignandfoundationdrainsystemdesignmodifications;andWHEREAS,DSWaddressedtheseissuesasnecessaryfortheexpeditiouscontinuationoftheprojectandhassubmittedaletterrequesttoamendtheMarch20,2002contracttoprovideforanadditional$4,400inprofessionalfeestocoverthebasiccostofprovidingtheseadditionalservices,bringingthetotalcostofconstructionadministrationto$27,100orabout5percentoftheprojectcost,apercentagenotinconsistentwithindustrystandardsforsuchservices;andWHEREAS,DSWshouldnotbepenalizedfortheirpromptattentiontotheseadditionalmatters,whichkepttheprojectonschedule.NOW,THEREFORE,BEITRESOLVEDBYTHEESTESPARKURBANRENEWALAUTHORITYTHAT:TheChairmanisherebyauthorizedtoexecutealettercontractamendmentwithDSWtoincreasetheprofessionalfeesforconstructionadministrationby$4,400.ADOPTEDthis2Ot1dayofNovember,2002.ESTESPARKURBANRENEWALAUTHORITYChairmanATTEST:‘\Secreta7’
