HomeMy WebLinkAboutEPURA RESOLUTION 55CRESOLUTIONNO._____(Series1986)ARESOLUTIONOFTHEESTESPARKURBANRENEWALAUTHORITYDECLARINGANINTENTTOACQUIREREALPROPERTYINTHEDOWNTOWNREDEVELOPMENTAREAANDAUTHORIZINGTHESTAFFOFTHEAUTHORITYTOINITIATENEGOTIATIONSANDPROCEEDINGS,INCLUDINGLITIGATION,IFNECESSARY,FORSUCHACQUISITIONWHEREAS,inaccordancewiththeEstesParkDowntownRedevelopmentProgram,theprovisionofadditionalpublicparkingisessentialtotheeliminationofblightandtheredevelopmentofthedowntownarea;andWHEREAS,acquisitionofcertainprivatelyownedpropertiesisnecessarytoprovidesuchpublicparking;andWHEREAS,thesaidPlanhasdesignatedaparcelofpropertyownedbyWilliamE.WatsonandVivianneH.Watsonforpublicparking.NOW,THEREFORE,BEITRESOLVEDBYTHEBOARDOFCQNIilSSIONERSOFTHEESTESPARKURBANRENEWALAUTHORITYTHAT:Section1.TheAuthorityherebydeclaresitsintenttoacquireaparcelofpropertyownedbyWilliamE.WatsonandVivianneH.WatsonforpurposesofpublicparkinginaccordancewiththeEstesParkDowntownRedevelopmentProgram,whichpropertyisdescribedasfollows:Lot8ofSubdivisionofLot7,PiltzResubdivisionofLot23,Block10,TownofEstesPark,CountyofLarimer,StateofColorado.Suchpropertyisalsoknownasthe“IceHouse”.Section2.AcquisitionofsuchpropertyisessentialtofulfillthepublicpurposeofeffectingtheDowntownRedevelopmentPlan.Section3.ThestaffoftheAuthority,includinglegalcounsel,isauthorizedtotakeallnecessarystepsforacquisitionofsuchproperty,includingwithoutlimitation,negotiationswiththepropertyownersortheirrepresentative,andinitiationoflegalproceedings,ifrequired,forsuchacquisition.ADOPTEDthis_____dayof,1986.AnneK.Moss,Vice—Chairman—Secretary
