Start transitioning our work on transit from project-and initiative-driven to strategic and visionary 2. engagement with meaningful operational refinements Page 3 Meeting Purpose & Goals Goals Multimodal Transportation Master Plan Review 2021-2022 Winter Trolley Service details Collect feedback on 2021 Summer Service and brainstorm 2022 priorities reinstatement of service to the YMCA Strategic Vision for Transit Path Forward: o Make strategic and meaningful improvements o Secure planning grant o Write RFP for consulting services o Hire a consultant and conduct the plan o Identify funding needs and possible sources o Begin plan implementation Page 4 Winter Trolley Service Piloted Winter Service in 2020-2021 One day per week (Wednesday) Fixed route, 2-5 p.m. Service based on small survey of local partners Ridership was low but we had regulars Goal #1: Test interest in year-round service without large financial investment Goal #2: Keep electric trolley active Winter Trolley Service Winter 2021-2022 Would like to pilot for a second year Looking to expand service Mindful of running an empty trolley Surveyed a broader audience o 62 responses (English) o 2 responses (Spanish) Mixed results with no clear preferences Page 5 Winter Trolley Service Spanish language respondents preferred Sunday . Page 6 Winter Trolley Service Positive Negative Neutral Needed we are becoming a year-round community Taking money away from other communities Needs to be seven days a week with more hours to really help Great for people without other options Adding layers of management This service will help some of our employees but not others Worth tailoring and continuing Inefficient waste of money you should offer on-demand taxi service Would be a great benefit to the people that we serve Summary of Write-in Comments Winter Trolley Service Recommendation for 2021-2022: Touch all seven days with a combination of fixed route and on-demand service. o Via Mobility: Monday Friday 8am 4:30pm On-demand only o Estes Transit: Saturday & Sunday 8am 4:30pm Fixed route only Service Areas Downtown Stanley Village Fall River Hwy 7 Dry Gulch Page 7 2022 Summer Transit Service 1.
