Minutes of the regular meeting of the Estes Park Regional Planning Commission.
Meeting held in the Tovm Hall on the 21st day of June, I960 at 4s00 P.M.
Present: Val Bernard, Chairman; R. C, Brodie, Louis Canaiy, J. 0. Mall,
Joe Connelly, Charles Hix, C. M, Hunter, Andy Jones
Also Present: Verne H. Fanton, Secretary

In accordance TAdth the action taken at the last regular meeting and public
notice having been published, Ohairman Bernard announced that the Commission
â– would proceed to conduct a public hearing regarding the application on file
submitted by Mr. D. E. Kellogg for a permit for the operation of a midget
automobile track to be located on Stanley Hotel property along Highvray 34.
The following persons appeared and spoke opposing the granting of the permit:
Jack Schlendorf, Ted Mathews, Dr. Fields, Clarence Gillett. The Secretary read
15 letters from property owiers in the area protesting the granting of the
permit. There were no persons present supporting the permit and no letters
on file supporting the permit. All persons having been heard, Joe Connelly
moved that the application be denied. Charles Hix seconded the motion. Upon
roll call said motion unanimously carried and said application v;as rejected.
The Secretary presented the final plat of the "First Addition to Lone Pine
Acres" for final approval, Mr. Jack Schlendorf spoke asking that provisions
be made in this and future annexation^ for rights-of-vra,y for horse back riding
through the sub-division. The Commission pointed out that adequate platted
streets were provided for through the entire sub-division and that horses vrould
be permitted to use said streets. The plat appeared to be in order; Andy Jones
m.oved that the Commission approve the Plat for annexation. C, M. Hunter seconded
the motion. Upon roll call said motion unanimously carried.
Mr. Jack Schlendorf and Hr. Otis VJhiteside spoke before the Commission protesting
the noise being made by a loud speaker at the trampolene court on Stanley Hotel
property on Highway 34. The Commission instructed the Secretary that in accordance
vidth the terms of the application and the approval of the permit to notify the
operators to discontinue music by loud speaker.
Mr. Ed Murdock appeared before the Commission and protested the present practice
of permitting individual trailers being parked at various places on a temporary
or permanent basis in Zone # 3* The Commission instructed the Secretary to.
contact the County Attorney to determine whether or not there 'was anything in
the present zoning ordinance to prohibit the above.
There being no further business it 'was regularly moved, seconded and carried that
the meeting adjourn,
