Meusel, Richard Wood Attending:Chairman Sager, Members Blair, Burgess, Hix, Meusel, Wood Also Attending: Town Administrator Hill, Secretary Van Horn Absent:Member Margaret Houston, Town Engineer/Planner Widmer Minutes of the August 18, 1981 Planning Commission meeting were submitted and approved. REZONING - LOT 2, WHITE MEADOW VIEW PLACE - C-2 TO C-1: Chairman Al Sager conducted a public hearing on the proposed rezoning of Lot 2, White Meadow View Place from the existing C-2 Restricted Commercial to C-1 Commercial. Petitioner Phil Switzer appeared speaking in favor of the rezoning and explained that the parcel is currently zoned C-2 and C-1 and that the owners wish to have it changed to a single zone. Ray Miller, adjacent business owner, appeared asking some questions. Correspondence was received from Town Engineer/Planner Widmer dated August 31, 1981. Chairman Sager declared the hearing closed. Member Duane Blair moved the rezoning be favorably recommended to the Board of Trustees. Member Wood seconded the motion and it passed unanimously. REZONING - PORTIONS OF LONE PINE ACRES 1ST ADDITION FROM R-1 TO R: Chairman Sager conducted a public hearing on the proposed rezoning of Lots 4-8, Block 4; Lots 6, 8-19, Block 5; Lots 1-10, Block 6; and Lots i—7, Block 7, Lone Pine Acres First Addition from the existing R—1 Residential to R—Residential. Joe Crowley spoke in favor of the rezoning request. No persons appeared speaking in opposition. Cor­ respondence was received from the Town Engineer/Planner dated August 31, 1981, Herbert Devine dated September 2, 1981, and Billy and Thelma Shoemaker dated June 27, 1981. Form letters in favor of the rezoning were submitted by Billy and Thelma Shoemaker, Mr. and Mrs. D. McFarland, Mr. and Mrs. D. Hruby, Ray Tidd, Homer Weeks, Mr. and Mrs. 0. Schroeder, Mr. and Mrs. C. Gilbertsen, Mr. and Mrs. E. Gilbertsen, Mr. and Mrs. S. Hartley, Mr. and Mrs. J. Hart, Mr. and Mrs. W. Burgess, Camille Harper, J. Shanks, Mr. and Mrs. E. Crankshaw, Mr. and Mrs. Zebroski, Mr. and Mrs. R. Burgess. Chairman Sager declared the hearing closed. Member George J. Hix moved that Lots 4-8, Block 4; Lots 6, 8-19, Block Block 6; and Lots 1-7, Block 7, Lone Pine Acres First Addition be favorably recommended to the Board of Trustees to be rezoned to R—Residential. Member Meusel seconded the motion and it passed by the following votes: Those voting "Yes" Members George J. Hix, Craig W. Meusel, Richard Wood, Al Sager. Those voting "No" Member Duane Blair. Member Robert E. Burgess ,abstained with permission from the Commission. LARIMER COUNTY REFERRALS: DEHAAN VARIANCE REQUEST - Mr. Fred DeHaan appeared requesting an 18' side yard setback rather than the required 251 setback for a new barn on Lot 13, Block 8, Carriage Hills Subdivision 8th Filing. He explained the reasoning behind the location of the barn and explained that the existing landscaping provides partial screening. Member Blair moved the variance request be favorably recommended to the Larimer County Board of Adjustment. Member Wood seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.
