Meusel, Richard Wood Attending: Chairman Sager, Members Burgess, Hix, Meusel, Wood Also Attending: Town Administrator Hill, Town Engineer/Planner Widmer, Absent: Secretary Van Horn Members Blair, Houston The minutes of the October 21, 1980 Planning Commission meeting were submitted and approved. ORDINANCE EXTENDING SIGN CODE COMPLIANCE DATE: Chairman A1 Sager conducted a public hearing on the proposed ordinance extending the compliance date for nonconforming signs from 5 years to 5i years. No persons appeared speaking in favor of or in opposition to the proposed ordinance and no correspondence was received regarding the same. Chairman Sager declared the hearing closed. Member Robert E. Burgess moved the ordinance be recommended for adoption to the Board of Trustees. Member Wood seconded the motion and it passed unanimously. Also, the spelling in Note B should be corrected. Member Hix seconded the motion and it passed unanimously. LARIMER COUNTY REFERRALS: VESY EXEMPTION - Bill Van Horn appeared on behalf of applicants the Vesys, Bixbys, and Vandykes requesting an exemption to dlv^d® a^8 , acre parcel located north of Dollar Lake into two tracts of 19-84 and 18.37 acres. Letters regarding the exemption were ^ec®lved fr?™ ^ , Light & Power Director dated October 30, 1980 and the T°w^ Engine®^{ Planner dated October 30, 1980. Member George Hix moved the exemption be favorably recommended to the Larimer County CoiIimlssloJer® to utility easements parallel and adjacent to all property lines being provided. Member MeuLl seconded the motion and it passed unanimously. MeuselI BRADFORD PUBLISHING CO., DENVER RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS Planning Commission - November 18, 1980 - Page Three (3) moved the variance request be favorably recommended to the Larimer County Board of Adjustment along with the recommendation that the access easement be redesigned to allow more gradual curves. Member Burgess seconded the motion and it passed by the following votes: Those voting "Yes" Members Wood, Meusel, Burgess, Sager. Those voting "No" none. Member Hix abstained with permission from the Planning Commission. Member Craig W. Meusel then moved that the exemption be favorably recommended to the Larimer County Commissioners with the condition that if utility easements are possible and the distance for connecting is within the distance specified by the Upper Thompson Sanitation District's sewer connection policies, that the three lots created by this exemption connect to the public sewer. Member Wood seconded the motion and it passed by the following votes: Those voting "Yes" Members Meusel, Burgess, Wood, Sager. Those voting "No" none. Member Hix abstained with permission from the Commission. COUNTY ZONING CHANGES: Chairman Sager reported that Tom Brown, Seymour Graham, and Bill Van Horn have also volunteered to serve on a committee to review county zoning in the Estes Park area. The County Commissioners have been informed of the volunteers for the committee but have not responded as of this date. 3 DIMENSIONAL MODEL: The Board of Trustees approved the construction of the three dimensional model of the Central Business District and work on the model is already underway.
