PLANNING COMMISSION COMMENTS REGARDING INAPPROPRIATE COUNTY ZONING:
Members of the Planning Commission agreed with the comments of the
Chairman that several areas adjacent to Estes Park are inappropriately
zoned which often results in extra effort and costs to property owners
who only desire to make improvements to their residences. Although
the neighborhood is residential, it is zoned T-Tourist or another
zoning district in which single family dwellings are a nonconforming
use. Member George J. Hix moved the Town Engineer compose, and the
Planning Commission Chairman endorse, a letter reflecting these con
cerns to the County Commissioners and requesting that the matter
receive some attention. Member Wood seconded the motion and it passed
unanimously.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
