Minutes of the regular meeting held on December|17th read and approved.
iMr. Edward Hummer, Attorney at Law, appeared before the Board and filed a
petition requesting that Lots 1, 2, 3, and 4, of Lakeview Tracts Addition to
The Town of Estes Park, be re-zoned from the existing R - 1 Residential District,
to a C - 2 Restricted Commercial District, said petition signed by Jacqueline
Lou Reese. Following the discussion, Douis Canaiy moved that notice be published
that the Commission would consider the request at the next regular meeting.
Chas. Hlx seconded the motion. Upon roll call said motion unanimously carried.

Chairman Miles stated that the Commission would proceed to conduct a public
hearing regarding the petition on file to re-zone the Meyer Addition to The
Town of Estes Park from the existing R 2 Multiple Family District to a
C - 2 Restricted Commercial District. The Secretary reported that legal
publication had been complied with. Dr. Currey Meyer spoke in favor of the
re-zoning. There were no persons present objecting to the re-zoning. The
Secretary read a letter from Selmer A. Solhelm | objecting to the proposal,
letter from Rev. Jon Stark representing the Bishop »s Committee of Saint
Bartholomew's Church, supporting the proposal to re-zone. Following a detail
+iS2uf^ion, Gllaa* Hlx moved that this Commission recommend to the Town Board,
tnat the peition be granted. Carl Swanson seconded the motion. Upon roll call said motion unanimously carried.
The Co^ission, together with Trafton Bean, conducted a lengthy discussion
regarding the classification of amusements in the present zoning Ordinance.
Humra«r spoke representing Mr. G.H. Gillan. The Commission did not
arrive at a specific conclusion, but Louis Canlay moved that Trafton Bean
prepare one or more amendments to the C - 1 classification regarding amusements
to be presented for consideration. Chas. Hlx seconded the motion. Upon roll call said motion unanimously carried. p
