Minutes of a regular meeting of the Estes Park Planning Commission. Meeting
held in the Tovm Hall on the 19th day of September 1961 at 4:00 P.M.

Minutes of the regular meeting held on April 18, 1961 read and approved as read.
Mr. Ray Moutoux appeared before the Commission and submitted a plat designated
as Twin View Addition the same being a resubdivision of Lots 11 and 12 of South
Saint Vrain Addition to the Town of Estes Park.[ The plat having been given
preliminary approval by the Commission and the street designated as Avalon Drive
being extended as suggested by the Commission and the balance of the plat
appearing to be in order, C. F. Hix moved that the plat be given final approval
and that the Commission consider the area to be zoned as either an R-1
or R-2 District. Ronald. C. Brodie seconded the motion. Upon roll call said
motion imanimously carried.
Mr. Ben Weeks appeared before the Commission and submitted a re-subdivision
plat' the same being a portion of Lot 3 of South[Saint Vrain Addition. After
discussing the plat, iUidy Jones moved that it be given preliminary approval
and that the owner contact the Recreation District regarding an access road
prior to final approval of the plat. N. L. Bartlett seconded the motion. Upon
roll call said motion unanimously carried.
The secretary presented a plat for annexation to the Town of Estes Park
designated as Rock Acres Addition submitted by j. R. and Florence M. McKelvey.
The plat was accompanying a petition signed by the oininers asking for R-2
Multiple Family Zoning. The plat appearing to be in order, C. H. Hix moved
that the plat be approved and that the Commission recommend that the tract be
annexed to the Town of Estes Park. Andy Jones seconded the motion. Upon roll
call said motion unanimously carried.
The secretary reported that the Town Council had asked the Commission
for recommendations regarding the proposal to modify the present tovai ordinance
prohibiting the keeping of horses within the Town. The secretary read a letter
from the Tovm Planning Consultant, Mr. Trafton Bean, recommending certain
variances from the present code. The Commission considered and discussed all
known possibilities to modify the present regulation and spent approximately
one hour of discussion. The Commission was unable to agree on any definite
change.
The secretary reported that the Town Council had asked the Commission to
proceed to zone all areas within the Town that arenot presently zoned. The
Commission stated that they would order the areas involved advertised for
zoning at the regular November meeting.
There being no further business it was regularly moved, seconded, and carried that
the meeting adjourn.
