Swank Commissioners Gunn, Henderson, Klaphake, Pohl, Putney, and Swank Executive Director Anderson, Deputy Clerk Kuehl Chairman Pauley The meeting was called to order at 8:00 a.m. MINUTES Minutes of the May 6, 1993, regular meeting were approved as prepared. FINANCIAL REPORTS It was moved and seconded (Henderson-Gunn) that the financial report ending April 30, 1993, be accepted into the record as presented, and it passed unanimously. AUTHORITY BUSINESS Stanley Historic District Road; location followed the meeting. A walking tour of the road Handicapped Parking - Brownfield Lot: Because of Federal ADA requirements, the suggested location of a designated handicapped space on the south side of the 300 block of East Elkhorn Avenue is not feasible. The Board recommended to the Public Safety Committee that one handicapped space be located at the north space of the parking lot east of the Brownfield Building. STAFF Director Anderson reported on three items to be discussed in the Public Safety Committee meeting: 1. MacGregor Avenue closure at the Transit Center. 2. Bollard placement schedule on East Elkhorn Avenue. 3. Flashing light placement on the yield sign at the intersection of Highways 34 and 36. Director Anderson reported that the lawsuit concerning quiet title for the Stanley Historic District Road right-of-way has been filed. Receipt of claim notices are required within 30 days. It was announced that the Colorado Historical Society has awarded grant money in the amount of $37,000 to The Stanley Hotel for roof replacement and gutter and downspout repair. Director Anderson announced the Fenn Gallery in Santa Fe has been contacted as a possible outlet for the sale of the remaining family, ewe and lamb, and ram sculptures. A family sculpture was sold this week, leaving eight available. BRADFORD PUBLISHING CO.RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS Estes Park Urban Renewal Authority, May 20, 1993 - Page 2 COMMISSIONER CONCERNS Commissioner Swank reported that 52 cars were parked in the Moraine Avenue Parking Lot over the weekend. Although it was suggested that less landscaping be done to allow this capacity in the future, it was noted that Municipal Code regulates parking lot design. Commissioner Klaphake reported that a flood contingency plan is in effect. There being no further business, it was moved that the Board adjourn to Executive Session to discuss a personnel matter. A roll call vote was taken. Those voting Yes: Commissioners Gunn, Henderson, Klaphake, Pohl, Putney, and Swank. Those voting No: None.
