2. The Post Office Lot Riverwalk project has been advertised
and bid packages are available. Bids are due on or
before 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, March 31, 1992.
3. Stanley Historic District Street System - A sketch plan
of the proposed street system was presented to the
Planning Commission on Tuesday, March 17, 1992.
4. A contract has been finalized with Soderberg Masonry for
brick paver resetting. A one week test section will
include the area where the former kiosk was located.
Commissioner Klaphake suggested EPURA budget
approximately $2,500.00 in 1993 to properly refurbish the
kiosk, said refurbishment to include sandblasting, proper
neutralization of the metal, and painting.
5. A proposed location for the 75th Anniversary plagues at
the Coffee Bar Island was presented to the Town/EPURA
joint session on March 12th, at which time said location
was favorably received. Vice-Chairman Pohl noted that,
following a presentation to the Women's Club (which
explained EPURA's role in the project and introduction of
the artist), the Women's Club purchased the 10th plaque
in this series of ten. Therefore, the Authority is
excused from purchasing a plaque. However, the matter of
design consistency was brought to the attention of both
the Town and EPURA Boards at their March joint meeting
(plague groupings of 4, 4 and 4 instead of 3, 3, and 4),
and the possibility of extending the series to 12, at
which time, the Authority could still purchase a plague.
Commissioner Klaphake reported that Special ProjLts
Manager Joseph has revised the sketch plan to allow for
minimum impact of the fire hydrant at this site, since
relocation of the fire hydrant is cost prohibitive.
