Minutes of a Regular meeting of the ESTES | PARK URBAN RENEWAL
AUTHORITY of the Town of Estes Park, Larimer County, Colorado. Meeting
held in the Municipal Building in said Town of Estes Park on the 16th day of
May, 2001.

Chairman Putney called the regular meeting to order at 8:05 a.m.
AGENDA
There being no objection, the Agenda was approved as presented.
MINUTES
It was moved and seconded (Widmer/Steige) the minutes of the regular meeting of
April 18, 2001 be approved as presented, and it passed unanimously.

COMMISSIONER AND COMMITTEE REPORTS |

RESOLUTION 294 AMENDING THE BYLAWS TO ENSURE CONSISTENCY IN TIME
ALLOCATED TO PUBLIC COMMENT - APPROVAL. Executive Director Smith read
Resolution 294 amending the Bylaws to ensure consistency in time allocated to public
comment. It was moved and seconded (WidmerA/Vasson) Resolution 294 be approved
as presented, and it passed unanimously. |
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR’S CONTRACT. Chairman Putney appointed Commissioners
Steige and Jackson to review Executive Director Smith’s contract and present
recommendations at the June meeting.
WALKWAY WESTWARD PROJECT - UPDATE. Chad Herd/Design Studios West
presented slides illustrating downtown redeveloping following the 1982 flood. Highlights of
the presentation include formation of EPURA, downtown streetscape and revitalization,
evolution of the Riverwalk, West Corridor Conceptual Master Plan, potential project areas-
and design elements. The presentation will be shown at the Town Board meeting on May
22,2001. I

Executive Director’s Report. Executive Director Smith noted that a Tr^sportation

An interactive discussion with property and business I owners regarding the Walkway
Westward project will be held Thursday, May 24th from 7:00-9:00 p.m. in Room 130 of the
Municipal Building.
There being no further business, Chairman Putney adjourned the meeting at 9:20 a.m.
The next regular meeting will be June 20, 2001 at 8:00 a.m.
