HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES Estes Park Board of Adjustment 1971-05-26RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS Board of Adjustment May 26, 1971 Committee: Chairman Dannels; Members Brownfield, Palmer, Steele and Sutter Attending: Chairman Dannels; Members Brownfield, Palmer, Steele and Sutter Also Attending: Town Administrator Hill and Building Inspector Mowery Trail Ridge Ford, Inc., submitted a request for a variance for the Ford Garage building in Lone Pine Acres in regard to Section 12.14 of the Municipal Code of the Town of Estes Park. The Municipal Code limits any changes in non -conforming uses to ordinary repairs and maintenance. Member Brownfield moved that the variance request as per the attached drawing be granted. Chairman Dannels seconded the motion. Upon roll call the motion unanimously carried. The Bond Agency submitted a request for a variance for Lot 3, Block 10, Country Club Manor Addition. The variance requested was that the 10 foot side yard setback requirement be waived and that a 9 foot setback be permitted. After reviewing Section 12.14 of the Municipal Code of the Town of Estes Park, the Board of Adjustment determined that the variance was not needed to allow the request. The Mullins Electrical Advertising Company submitted a request to allow two projecting signs on the 7-11 Store at 455 Bast Elkhorn Avenue. Member Palmer moved that the request not be granted. Hill Dear Dale: We would appreciate a hearing with the Board of Adjustments regarding the possibility of a variance on Lot 3, Block 10, Country Club Manor Addition, as per the sketch enclosed herewith. In general, we are asking that it be possible to build a house 32 ft. wide on a 50 ft. lot. The required set back is 10 ft. We are asking that a set back of 9 ft. be permitted. We are asking this on behalf of Eldon Rathbun, who is endeavoring to purchase the lot, contingent upon having this variance granted. We really need to know prior to June 1, 1971.
