Erickson,Charles F.Hix,Marvin L.Steele,Glenn Pros ser Absent:Ronald C.Brodie Also Attending:George L.Mowery,Secretary and Lowell Soester, Larimer County Planner Minutes of the regular meeting held March 17,1970 were read and approved as read. Due to the fact that the members of this Commission were appointed last week by the Mayor and Town Board,nominations were in order.E.S. Erickson moved that Charles F.Hix be appointed the presiding officer. Henry D.Dannels seconded the motion.Upon roll call the motion unan imously carried. Glenn Prosser moved that Howard Stewart be elected Chairman.E.S. Erickson seconded the motion.Upon roll call the motion unanimously carried. E.S.Erickson moved that Charles F.lix be elected Vice Chairman. Henry D.Dannels seconded the motion.Mr.Hix declined the appointment. Marvin L.Steele moved that Glenn Prosser be elected Vice Chairman. Charles F.Hix seconded the motion.Upon roll call the motion unan imously carried. Henry 0.Dannels moved that George L.Mowery be elected Secretary. Marvin L.Steele seconded the motion.Upon roll call the motion unan imously carried. Mr.Lowell Soester,Assisint Planner for the Larimer County Planning Commission presented a replat of Pinewood Springs,12th filing Sub division for approval.Glenn Prosser moved that it be approved and E.S.Erickson seconded the motion.Upon roll call the motion unan imously carried. Mr.Lowell Soester,Assistant Planner for the Larimer County Planning Commission presented a copy of a re-subdivision of the fourth filing of Carriage Hills for approval.Henry 0.Dannels moved that it be approved and Charles F.Mix seconded the motion.Upon roll call the motion unanimously carried. Mr.Tom Brown,Registered Surveyor,presented a preliminary plat of Rock Ridge Estates,a subdivision of a portion of Lot 13,of the Mocassin Addition to the Town of Estes Park,and asked that the following varia nces be granted:1)400 feet of Mocassin Circle Drive at a grade of 12.07.and 2)that the road design speicifications conform with the Lar imer County Subdivision ordinance.Henry D.Dannels moved that the pre— liminary plat be approved.Charles F.Mix seconded the motion.Upon roll call the motion unanimously carried. Mr.Lynn Hammond,Attorney;Mr.Paul H.Van Horn,Registered Surveyor; and Mr.Leonard Molander appeared before the Commission and presented a preliminary plat of West Park Center Re-Subdivision which consists of two blocks of Lots 19 and 20,Sunny Acres Addition.A copy of the preliminary plat was left with the Planning Commission.Charles F.lix moved that the preliminary plat be approved.Marvin L.Steele seconded the motion.Upon roll call the motion unanimously carried. Page two Planning Commission April 21,1970 Mr.Paul H.Van Horn,Registered Surveyor and Mr.George Menard appeared before the Commission and presented a preliminary plat of Webb Cottages consisting of a portion of Lots 1 and 2,Block 10,Town of Estes Park.Copies of the preliminary plat were left with the Planning Commission.Henry D.flannels moved that the preliminary plat be approved.Charles F.Hix seconded the motion.Upon roll call the motion unanimously carried. Mr.Forest F.Johnson appeared before the Commission and presented two drawings showing Lot 14,Elkhorn Club Estates.One drawing showed the lot as platted by the developer and the other showed Mr.Johnson’s proposed division of this lot.Mr.Johnson is asking permission to split this lot because of the natural terrain that exists.Henry ID. flannels moved that further discussion be tabled until such time as additional information is received from other people regarding this division of lots.Charles F.Hix seconded the motion.Upon roll call the motion unanimously carried. Chairman Howard Stewart presented copies of a pamphlet to all members of the Planning Commission regarding legal findings related to zoning.
