July 3, 1991
Board: Chairman Habecker, Members Barker, Garrett, Newsom, Sager
Attending: All
Also Attending: Building Official Allman, Deputy Clerk Heifner
Absent: None
Chairman Habecker called the meeting to order at 9:05 A.M.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES.
Minutes of the meeting held June 5, 1991 were approved as submitted.
LOT 4. So. Saint Vrain Addition. N. E. Corner Highway 7 & Country Club
Estates - Recmest for Variance: First National Bank of Loveland/Applicant.
Chairman Habecker read a memo from Steve Stamey/Community Development
Director, stating legal questions had arisen, and recommended the Board
continue this request to Tuesday, July 9, 1991 at 4:00 P.M. to allow time for
legal counsel. The Board so moved (Garrett-Sager), and it passed
unanimously.
Henry Nelson, representing Eagle View Condominium Association, requested the
Applicant supply revised drawings, detailing the proposed development as it
relates to existing parking and landscaping. Discussion followed with
respect to the Board's concern in this area, noting the Applicant will be
required to submit the proposed development to the Planning Commission for
review.
Member Garrett suggested Mr. Nelson contact the Applicant regarding this
development, in addition to Town staff, with respect to any additional
information received prior to July 9th.
TWISTED PINE FUR & LEATHER. 450 Moraine Avenue - Recmest for Variance: Henry
A. Glover/Applicant.
A setback variance is requested to accommodate remodeling of a display rack
located outside Applicant's place of business. Building Inspector Allman
explained that converting the existing display rack from portable to
permanent constitutes a new structure. Proposed placement of the fourth post
is 11' from the property line. Staff recommends the applicant align the
fourth post with the other three, making the fourth post approximately 17
feet from the property line.
Member Sager noted the new structure could be interpreted as a sign, rather
than a structure, and read from Section 17.66.090 36(a)(iii). It was moved
and seconded (Sager-Garrett) the variance be approved with the condition the
applicant move the fourth post to align with the other three posts, and it
passed unanimously.
There being no further business. Chairman Habecker adjourned the meeting at
9:55 A.M.
Donna Heifner, Deputy Town Clerk
