Mr. Bill Van Horn, representing the owner, stated the propcpsed
changes to the building were for the public good; a safer build
ing would be the end result. The natural lifespan of the build
ing will not be increased. The right-of-way is not pertinent to
this petition and should not be considered at this time. The
owner was not in a position to eliminate that portion of the
building within the 8' setback; however, by allowing alteration
of the internal portion of the building, that portion of the
building could be brought into conformance. Discussion followed
regarding the "boiler room" access area and Member Sager moved
the Hupp Hotel Variance Request be continued to Wednesday, May
21, 1986 at 9:00 A.M. to allow an opportunity to tour the
building. Member Lamson seconded the motion and it passed by t e
following votes: Those voting "Yes" Members Brown, Laing, Lamson
and Sager. Those voting "No" Member Habecker.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned,
Vickie O'Connor, Town Clerk
