HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES Board of Adjustment 1985-07-18BRADFORD PUBLISHING CO.RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS Board of Adjustment July 18, 1985 Board: Attending: Also Attending: Absent: Chairman Wood, Members Brown, Laing, Lamson, Sager Chairman Wood, Members Brown, Laing, Lamson, Sager Town Engineer Widmer, Building Inspector Jones, Clerk O'Connor None GREGG MAROUSEK (RETAIL CENTER) - ENLARGE NON-CONFORMING BUILDING - 521 SOUTH SAINT VRAIN AVENUE: Roger Thorp, representing the owners, appeared requesting a variance to enlarge a non-conforming building which is non-conforming due to inadequate setback as described in Section 17.36.040 2C of the Municipal Code. The existing building is non-conforming; however, the proposed addition is conforming. No correspondence or communication in favor of or opposed to the variance was received. The lot will include twelve parking spaces, with eight of the spaces located in front of the building. Mr. Thorp requested that the variance request be amended to include a variance to Section 17.54.010 2A to allow the parked vehicles to overhang into the five-foot planting strip. Member Sager advised he had a discussion with Planner Stamey regarding the 100' right-of-way edge of Highway 7 which included long-range planning. Member Sager moved the Marousek Variance Request be approved with the following amendment: 1. Amend the petition to provide for variance of 5' front setback and overhang of vehicles. Brown seconded the motion and it passed by the following votes: Those voting "Yes" Members Brown, Laing, Lamson, Sager and Wood. Those voting "No" none.
