HABER - ALTERATION OF A NONCONFORMING BLDG. - 14 8 CLEAVE STREET_^
The Board of Adjustment considered a request from Ralph Haber to
alter a nonconforming building (Section 17.68.070). Mr Roger Thorp,
representing the owner, explained that Mr. Haber would like to burl
up the north face of the existing building to add a second floo .
The location of the existing header would allow this second floor
addition to be added with a minimum amount of cost. Thei_sec°
floor addition would be 25 feet deep facing Cleave
an eight foot ceiling. Presently, the building ^as a horizontal
setback of 4 feet 9% inches from the rear rear
is a nonconforming setback in a C-1 commercial district. The rear
setback requirement is ten feet. The following correspondence in
favor of the variance was received.

Member Jerry Lamson moved the variance be granted. Trustee Richard
A W?od sSLded the motion and it passed unanimously.
