SIGN VARIANCE - WOJT DBA EIKER'S MOTEL - OFE PREMISES ADVERTISING SIGN:
Elizabeth Wojt appeared requesting reconsideration of a variance which
was denied on March 17, 1980 to Section 17.66.190 C 15 of the Municipal
Code to allow an off premises advertising sign. She contended that
Eiker's Motel does not have adequate visibility from West Elkhorn Avenue
and that she is experiencing a financial hardship. According to Mrs.
Motel Area" sign installed by the Town at the intersection
Avenue and sPruce Drive is not sufficient and that an "Eiker's
Motel sign is needed at that corner at least during the months of May
June, July and August. The following correspondence in favor of the
variance was received:

Members of the Board of Adjustment expressed concern about the prece
dent that would be set and possible conflict with the intent ofthe
sign ordinance. Member Margaret Houston moved the variance be granted
subject to permission being obtained from the owner and/or lessee

"Dead" for setbacks. Chairman Wagner declared the motionDead for lack of a second. Member A1 Sager then moved that the
