DURWARD - OFF STREET PARKING:
James A. Durward appeared before the Board of Adjustment requesting

more spaces for parking.
2. A variance to require only the net retail area be considered
when determining the off-street parking requirements according
to square footage of area. More specifically, rest room
facilities, storage areas, elevators and stairways be excluded.
3. Subsection 7 of 17.64.010 of the Municipal Code be used to
calculate required number of parking spaces for floor areas

7th DAY ADVENTIST CHURCH - BUILDING HEIGHT - TRACTS 22& 23, FALL RIVER
ADDITION:
Pastor Ben Trout, representing the 7th Day Adventist Church, appeared
requesting a building height variance to allow the church building a
maximum roof height of 36 feet. Member Sager questioned whether of not
the cupola shown on the blueprints of the building was included in the
building height variance request. Mr. Trout stated that it was not
and requested that his petition be amended to include the cupola
which is an additional seven feet in height and that the blueprint
be included as a part of his petition. No correspondence was received
from property owners adjacent to the church site. The testimony
given by Fire Chief Cheney at the June 19, 1978 Board of Adjustment
meeting regarding the fire fighting ability in higher buildings was
also entered into the record of this meeting. With unanimous consent,
the Board of adjustment granted the building height variance.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
