SUTORIUS (MOVIE MUSEUM) - SIGN CODE VARIANCE:
Edward Sutorius appeared before the Board of Adjustment with an amended
request to place three contoured cut caricatures on the wall of his
movie museum which faces Moraine,Avenue. Each sign would be 3 x4 x
in size. The Board discussed various alternatives of achieving the
same effect under the requirements of the sign code whereupon Mr.
Sutorius withdrew his request stating that he would work out a solution
with Building Inspector Fairchild which would conform to the Code.
HEWITT (RANCHOUSE RESTAURANT) - SIGN CODE VARIANCE:
A request was submitted by Harold Hewitt for a variance from the
required setback of eight (S’) feet as specified in section 17.66.300 2
of the Municipal Code to a setback of six (6') feet in order to add a
small sign beneath the existing free standing sign. Member Palmer
moved the variance be denied because the sign could be placed elsewhere
in accordance with the sign code. Member Prosser seconded the motion.
Upon roll call the motion unanimously carried.
SWANK (PHOTO HUT) - SIGN CODE VARIANCE:
Gerald Swank appeared requesting permission to place two flat face
signs on the Elkhorn Avenue side of the Photo Hut store located in
Elkhorn West. Mr. Swank requested that the .on®. addl1::LOnalMf^^^T,f5°nc!c;er
sign be granted in lieu of an allowable projecting nnon
moved the request be denied. Member Herzog seconded the motion. p
roll call the motion unanimously carried.
