HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES Estes Park Board of Adjustment 1973-01-22RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS Board of Adjustment January 22, 1973 Committee: Attending: Chairman Sutter; Members Herzog, Palmer, Prosser and Wagner Chairman Sutter; Members Palmer, Prosser and Wagner Also Attending: Town Administrator Hill and Zoning Administrator Van Horn Absent:Member Herzog GLENDENNING: Mrs. Wilma Glendenning, owner of a portion of Block 7, Town of Estes Park, appeared before the Board of Adjustment and requested a variance to the parking requirements contained in the Municipal Code, Section 12.13. The Code requires one parking space for each two hundred (200) square feet of building. Town Engineer Van Horn reported this particular building would require eight (8) parking spaces. Member Wagner moved the parking requirements, as provided for in the Municipal Code, be waived. Member Palmer seconded the motion. Upon roll call the motion unanimously carried. FRENZEL: Mr. Richard F. Frenzel, owner of Twin Owls Motor Lodge, located on Lots 1 and 2, Little Prospect Mountain Addition, appeared before the Board of Adjustment and asked for a variance from the sign code. The Code provides for one projecting sign and two free-standing signs per occupancy. The Code provides the allowable sign area not to exceed three hundred (300) square feet on this property for both a projecting sign and free-standing signs. Mr. Frenzel requested a variance allowing him to install a second pro­ jecting building sign in lieu of the second free-standing sign. Member Palmer moved the variance be granted.. Member Wagner seconded the motion. Upon roll call the motion unanimously carried. There being no further business, the meeting adjourned. Dale G.
