HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES Estes Park Board of Adjustment 1970-08-25RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS Board of Adjustment August 25, 1970 Committee: Attending: Chairman Dannels; Members Brownfield, Palmer, Steele and Sutter Chairman Dannels; Members Brownfield, Steele and Sutter Also Attending: Town Administrator Hill and Building Inspector Mowery Absent: Member Palmer Mr. Elmer Graham, owner of Lot 12, Block 3, Reclamation Addition, appeared before the Board to request a variance to Section 12,6-I>2 of the Muni­ cipal Code, that would allow a side yard setback of five (5) feet instead of ten (10) feet. This variance is for the purpose of adding a deck to the present building.and is needed because of the present location of the residence. A letter from George L. Mowery, Building Inspector, and a sketch of the proposed construction is attached to and made a part of these minutes. Member Brownfield moved the above request for a variance be granted. Member Dannels seconded the motion. Upon roll call the motion unanimously carried. There being no further business, the meeting adjourned. Dale G. Hill Town Administrator and Clerk Dear Mr. Hill, Upon receipt of a sketch showing proposed construction of a sun deck on the Elmer Graham property, I inspected subjects property. The approximate setbacks from side yard line are correct as shown and since this violates the setback requirement of ten (10) feet for a side yard, I must refuse to issue a building permit, Mr. Graham is asking for a Board of Adjustment hearing to ask for a variance from the ten (10) foot setback requirement.
