MUSEUM ADMISSIONS POLICY (5/24/92)
1. Admission Charge - $1.00 non-member adults & children over 12.
2. Free admission - members & their guests.
- children 12 & under when accompanied by an adult.
3. No children admitted without accompanying adult.
4. Shirt and shoes required for admission.
5. No food or drink allowed in the museum galleries.
6. No smoking allowed in the museum.
7. Flash photography allowed only in the Discovery Room.
8. No pets allowed in the museum.
GROUPS & TOURS POLICY
1. Groups and tours must be scheduled in advance, call 586-6256.

3. cost - 50 cents per person over age 12. Exception: Estes Park
public school teachers and their classes.
4. Groups will be charged even if some of the group members are
members of the museum.
5. With Childrens groups, a ratio of one adult per every ten kids
is expected.
HISTORIC PHOTOGRAPH REPRINT USE POLICY
Purchase of photographs constitutes agreement to comply with these conditions.
1. Responsibility for questions of copyright that may arise are assumed by the user.
2. The Estes Park Area Historical Museum reserves the right to limit the number of photographic copies; to restrict
the use or reproduction of rare or valuable material; to ensure reproductions are in good taste; to make special
quotations on material involving unusual difficulty in copying; and to charge a higher copying fee than specified for
a small number of special items. Before publication, the Museum reserves the right to require a proof for approval.
3. Photocopies may be provided at the requestor’s expense for selection purposes at 10? per sheet.

does not extend to future editions such as book club, paperback or international editions. Subsequent use requires
written permission and the payment of additional fees.
7. Requests for copies of graphic items intended for single mass reproductions into formats such as posters, post
cards, programs, note paper and menus may be subject to special contractual procedure.
8. Requests for image adjustment such as cropping, overprinting, or bleeding the pap edge must be made in writing.
Image adjustments will be made at the requestor's expense. Details must be identified as such in the finished work.
9 Copies of photographs on display will be made by the Estes Park Area Historical Museum on request. Casual

We reserve the right to waive fees for reproductions by non-profit organizations or university presses engaging in
non-commercial publication or for the use of photographs by the news media in newspaper articles, newscasts or
non-commercial documentaries. Fees wiU be waived after proof of credit has been furnished. Fees are subject to
change at any time. Permission for resale of EPAHM photographs is not a part of this agreement.

Chairman Barker called the Committee meeting to order at 2:00 P.M.
CONFERENCE CENTER UPDATE
Director Pickering reported the following:
A. The Conference Center brochure is completed and ready for
distribution to meeting planners.
B. The merchant coupon book for inclusion in welcome bags to
conference attendees is completed. There is also a
welcome kit for participating merchants. Director Stamey
presented Carolyn Jones with an Achievement Award for
coordinating the public/private effort to produce this
coupon book.
C. A booking update for 1992-1993.
ADVERTISING PROGRAM
Projects Completed:
1. Conference Center Brochure.
2. Rodeo Poster and Rack Card.
3. Denver Post and Rocky Mountain News 4-color, full page
spring special section ad - to run May 17th.
4. Completed Artwalk/Jazzfest Post and News ads and Poster.
Performance Update:
1. Month by month and year to date comparisons for packet
requests and telephone usage indicate a significant
increase compared with the same period in 1991.
COMMUNITY PROFILE
Director Stamey submitted a copy of the May 1992 Community Profile
and stated this project is a joint effort with the Board of
Realtors.
ECONOMIC STUDY GROUP
Activities of the Economic Study Group include monthly meetings
covering various activities, i.e. briefing on role and approach,
review and comment on BBC report, and a first cut draft of problems
and limitations. The group has requested input from 23 community
groups and, using the format of the BBC Economic Analysis prepared
in 1983, the study group will update the Limitations and Strengths
and Potential Economic Development Activities sections of said
report during the summer months, with public comment in October.

HOUSING STUDY GROUP APPOINTMENTS
The Committee recommends Trustee Hix serve as chairman of the
Housing study Group and the following persons be appointed for a
one year period: Eric Blackhurst, Lauren Dannels, Paul Kochevar,
Ann Racine, David Walker, and Dick Weiss.
MUSEUM REPORT
Director Swain reported on the Collections Committee's role with
regard to its procedures for donations/acquisitions, and,
interaction with the Art Museum planning group. A long-range
financial plan meeting is scheduled for May 12. Two staff members
will attend the Colorado/Wyoming Association of Museums meeting in
Thermopolis, Wyoming on May 15-16 and Estes Park will host the
Association of Northern Front Range Museums meeting on June 8.
The Historic Sites Walking Tour brochures will be ready this week
and it is anticipated that historic building plaques will be
installed on or before July 4th. Director Swain commented on her
short-term and long-terms visions for the museum.
REPORTS
Mr. Ron Harvey submitted a letter to the Committee regarding a
Housing Authority and commented that if one is established, members
should not be a part of local government. He stated that if a
Housing Authority was established, a HUD section 8 program could be
available to Estes Park, offering vouchers for rent assistance.
Trustee Garrett agreed to contine to serve as 75th Anniversary Co-
Chairman and noted the next two events are the Riverside Ballroom
Dance and History Fair.
There being no further business to come before the Committee,
Chairman Barker adjourned the meeting at 2:55 P.M.
