The Town initiated the fulfillment program contract with the Chamber of Commerce in 1991. The year 1992 was the first full year under this contract. The 1993 Operating Agreement is based on the rates from 1992. Significant points of this Agreement are: 1. No rate increases. 2. Activity level guarantee for 1993, based on a 10% increase in packet requests and incoming telephone calls over 1992 levels: a. Direct Response Labels: 42,500, at a cost of $0.30 per label, resulting in an increased payment of $1,149.60. b. Readership Service Labels: 42,500, at a cost of $0.05 per label, resulting in an increased payment of $191.60. c. Mail Preparation: 85,000 packets, at a cost of $0.18 per packet, resulting in an increased payment of $1,379.52. d. Quantity Shipping: 400 packages (no change) resulting in no increased payment. e. Operator Charges: 68,000 incoming 800 calls, at a cost of $0.60 per call, resulting in an increased payment of $3,648.00. The total increase for 1993 is $6,368.72, bringing the total projected 1993 contract value to $71,375.00. This is an aggregate total, and will increase only if the projected figures are surpassed. 3CMA Award: The Town received a Silver Circle Runner Up award in the special publications category for its conference center brochure. This is the second consecutive year the Town has been recognized by the City-County Communications and Marketing Association (3CMA) for excellence in local government communications and marketing programs. This work was directed by Advertising Manager Marsh, and was judged on the basis of achieving specific goals, overall creativity, quality of content, production, effectiveness, and cost efficiency. The Committee commended Mr. Marsh for work resulting in the award. BRADFORD PUBLISHING CO.RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS Community Development Committee - October 1, 1992 •* Page 2 MUSEUM - REPORT Director Swain reported over 2,000 visitors to the Museum during the month of August, a 53% increase over last year. A detailed statistic sheet was distributed. Director Swain presented a report from The Long Range Planning Committee of the Estes Park Area Historical Museum. The primary issues were: 1. Facility expansion through a possible relocation near the Chamber Information Center. 2. Audience expansion through public awareness and advertising. Funding for these projects would be raised through donations, grants, endowments, etc., to alleviate any burden on the Town. The Committee acknowledged receipt of this proposal and will pursue its validity with the Town Administrator. There being no further business.
