brochure. This is the second consecutive year the Town has been
recognized by the City-County Communications and Marketing
Association (3CMA) for excellence in local government
communications and marketing programs. This work was directed by
Advertising Manager Marsh, and was judged on the basis of achieving
specific goals, overall creativity, quality of content, production,

MUSEUM - REPORT
Director Swain reported over 2,000 visitors to the Museum during
the month of August, a 53% increase over last year. A detailed
statistic sheet was distributed.
Director Swain presented a report from The Long Range Planning
Committee of the Estes Park Area Historical Museum. The primary
issues were:
1. Facility expansion through a possible relocation
near the Chamber Information Center.
2. Audience expansion through public awareness and
advertising.
Funding for these projects would be raised through donations,
grants, endowments, etc., to alleviate any burden on the Town. The
Committee acknowledged receipt of this proposal and will pursue its
validity with the Town Administrator.
There being no further business. Chairman Barker adjourned the
meeting at 10:25 a.m.
