reviewing the "Fam" Tour budget line item; the budget has been
reduced by $78,246.35, resulting in a total revised balanced
advertising and fulfillment budget of $478,965.65.
Staff provided a demonstration of the toll-free telephone number.
When the number is dialed, the caller will have four (4) categories
for assistance. This system should prove very efficient; however,
such routing is not presently occurring. Advertising Manager Marsh
is monitoring Chamber operations, and will investigate this
situation and report to the Committee.
Irene Hirst has been named the Chamber of Commerce Interim Office
Manager.
The Committee also reviewed the year-to-date (February 28, 1991)
Response Source Summary Report.
ADVERTISING POLICY COMMITTEE.
Staff submitted the name of Warren Clinton to fill the vacancy on
the Advertising Policy Committee on an interim basis (position
formerly held by Ed Jungbluth). Mr. Clinton serves as a Director
on the Chamber Board. The Committee recommends Warren Clinton be
appointed to serve on the Advertising Policy Committee on an
interim basis, until the Chzimber of Commerce Operation's Manager is
appointed.
REPORTS.
Staff is in the process of updating the Community Profile and
requested the Committee submit items that may be included. The
1990 census figure will be officially ignored, thus staff's
estimate will be used.
