MOUNTAIN LEGACY SCULPTURE - DISCUSSION.
As referred by the Administrative Committee February 6th, the
Committee discussed the Town's purchase of said sculpture. A
ceremonial office for the Mayor is being considered in the
upcoming Municipal Building remodeling project, and the Bighorn
Sheep sculpture could be placed in this office. Discussion
followed concerning the appropriateness of the Town expending
funds for public art. Chairman Dickinson voiced his opposition
to such an expenditure; however, the consensus of the Committee
was to recommend the acquisition in the 1990 Budget, authorizing
staff to negotiate the purchase price with EPURA.
As the remaining agenda item would contain information given in
confidence. Chairman Dickinson adjourned the meeting to Executive
Session at 3:01 P.M.
