HomeMy WebLinkAboutPROCLAMATION Oratorio Society of Estes Park's 25th Anniversary Weekend 2013-05-17ftt park,(Dotorabo ro clamatto II WHEREAS,the Oratorio Society of Estes Park is an active organization of 65-75 local musicians,dedicated to the performance of major works of choral and instrumental classical music for the cultural enrichment of the community;and WHEREAS,the Oratorio Society is a 501c(3)non-profit organization that was founded in December 1987 in order to perform Handel’s “Messiah”on November 27,1988,and has continued to this day in performing two or more concerts each year;and WHEREAS,the Oratorio Society Chorus and Chamber Orchestra will present two free concerts of Baroque,Classical,and Romantic era German-Austrian music to celebrate its 25th anniversary on May 17,2013,at 7:00 p.m.,and May 18,2013,at 2:00 p.m.at the Estes Park High School Auditorium. NOW,THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and the Trustees of the Town of Estes Park do hereby proclaim the weekend of May 17 and 1$,2013,as the ORATORIO SOCIETY OF ESTES PARK’S 25TH ANNIVERSARY WEEKEND in the Town of Estes Park,Colorado,and encourage all local musicians and music lovers to join them at these concerts.
