HomeMy WebLinkAboutPROCLAMATION Moor, Ross 2006-11-25art,(otorabo to tlamatto ii WHEREAS,Ross W.Moor moved to Estes Park in 1975 with his wife,Lois,after a 40 year career with the US Geological Survey;and WHEREAS,Ross helped start the Estes Park Senior Center and has been a member of the Board of Directors for over 25 years,he has been a member of Kiwanis for 56 years and he and Lois were active as Ambassadors for the Chamber of Commerce,volunteers in their church,the Visitor Center,the Medical Center,Meals on Wheels and several others.Ross worked for many years to help obtain an assisted living facility in Estes Park;and WHEREAS,Ross has unselfishly given of his time and talents to the community of Estes Park while maintaining a positive outlook and a great attitude;and WHEREAS he is turning 100 years old on December 3,2006. NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Town of Estes Park do hereby proclaim Saturday,November 25,2006 as Ross Moor Day in Estes Park,Colorado.All citizens are encouraged to express their appreciation to this outstanding volunteer for his many contributions to our community by either attending the open house in honor of his 100th birthday on November 25 from 2:00 —4:00 pm at the Good Samaritan Village or sending Ross birthday wishes.
