HomeMy WebLinkAboutPROCLAMATION Kent, Owen 2005-01-21(()�'4�� C!Estts Jarkt cttolorabo rotlamation Whereas, Owen Kent was born to Harry and Kate Kent on August 27, 1992, and Whereas, he entered the Estes Park Schools in August of 19% in Kathy Scott's kindergarten classroom after presenting her with their common favorite food-lobster, and Whereas, he got his best friend, helper, and life companion, Teo, in 2001, and Whereas, he was the first occupant of the "Owen Express", the middle school elevator, now duly named after Owen, and Whereas, he went to Hawaii with his dad, Adrian Archambault, and Martha in October of 2003 and climbed Longs Peak with his parents on his 5th birthday, and Whereas, he went into a potentially risky surgery on December 8, 2003 and
came out ahead of schedule and in excellent condition surprising his doctors,
his father, and the Estes Park community, and
Whereas, he has been an inspiration to all residents of Estes Park through his
love of life, perseverance, positive attitude, and friendships.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Board of
Trustees of the Town of Estes Park proclaim January 21, 2005 as
OWEN KENT DAY
In the Town of Estes Park, Colorado. All citizens are encouraged to honor
Owen by expressing their appreciation for his many contributions.
