WHEREAS,Gail Fray has enriched the community’s musical
experience for 28 years;and
WHEREAS,during those 28 years,has taught elementary music
to two generations;and
WHEREAS,Gail Fray founded the Alpine Singers and provided
young students an opportunity to sing at concerts for 24 years
through this group;and
WHEREAS,Gall Fray also founded the Rocky Mountain Singers;
and
WHEREAS,Gail Fray taught each student stage presence and poise,and an ability
to acknowledge applause;and
WHEREAS,Gail Fray moved with the times —always changing her teaching to
incorporate new methods;and
WHEREAS,Gail Fray introduced the TAH-TAH’s and TEE-TEE’s to ati her students
with a sense of humor and dedication unsurpassed.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the
Town of Estes Park do hereby acknowledge August 2,1998 as
GAIL FRAY CELEBRATION DAY
and encourage its citizens to participate in the planned activities,including a two-
hour reception at the Community Church from 2:00 p.m.to 4:00 p.m.
