HomeMy WebLinkAboutPROCLAMATION 211 Day 2020-02-11QEtc park,(!Lotorabo ro clamatto II WHEREAS,211 provides free assistance to more than 4,000 individuals across the county,providing human service referrals to connect Estes Park residents to vital community resources such as free and confidential crisis and emergency counseling,food resources, health care and insurance assistance,housing and utilities payment assistance,employment services, veteran services,childcare referrals,and family services;and WIEIEREAS,making the social services ecosystem more efficient in the Town of Estes Park by ensuring people in need are connected to agencies that can help them;and WUEREAS,the Town of Estes Park supports this vital community resource by awarding Community Initiative Funding in 2019-2020 for 211 access for Estes Park residents; and WHEREAS,the Town of Estes Park is a partner within the 211 Colorado network to provide border-to-border state coverage and assistance for all Coloradoans;and WHEREAS,in partnership with the Larimer County Office of Emergency Management,has provided disaster or crisis response for Estes Park Residents. NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and the Trustees of the Town of Estes Park do hereby proclaim February 11,2020 as, 211 DAY in the Town of Estes Park,and encourage all citizens to join in supporting this vital community service.
