HomeMy WebLinkAboutPROCLAMATION 100th Anniversary of the Estes Park Volunteer Fire Department 2007-11-17(tt park,(Itotorabo ro clamatto II ,Estes Park’s Volunteer Fire Department was organized in 1907 and consisted of twenty volunteer WHEREAS,Dr.Homer James was the Fire Department’s first fire chief;and WHEREAS,the newly-founded department’s only piece of equipment was 100 feet of hose wrapped on a buggy cart;and WHEREAS,the Estes Park Volunteer Fire Department is now celebrating its 100th Anniversary and has grown into a department with 35 members and ten pieces of apparatus,providing reliable emergency responses to community members and visitors in times of need; NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Town of Estes Park do hereby proclaim Saturday, November 17,2007,a day of celebration commemorating the 100th Anniversary of the Estes Park Volunteer Fire Department In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and caused this seal to be affixed.
