ORDINANCE NO.84
AN ORDINANCE REGUL.-.TING TRAILER CAMPS,PROVIDING
FOR LICENSES THEREFOR,REGULATING TI USE iND PARK
ING OF HOUSE TRAILERS AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR
VIOLATION THEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF ESTES
PARK,COLORADO:
Section 1.
(a)The term “house trailer”as used herein shall be
construed to mean any structure built on a wheel or wheels or designed
to be placed on a vrheel or wheels and used or designed to be used by
a person or persons for living or sleeping purposes;and such term shall
include any motor or horsd drawn vehicle which is used or designed to
‘ue used by a person or persons for living or sleeping purposes.
(b)The term “trailer camp”as used herein shall be
construed to mon any premises used or designed to be used for the
accommodation of house trailers and the occupants thereof.
Section 2.It shall be unlawful for any person,firm or
corporation to operate a trailer camp within the corporate limits of the
Town of Estes Park without first applying for and receiving from the
Town Clerk a license therefor.The application for such license shall
stats the name of the applicant,the proposed location of such trailer
camp,what sewag and sanitary facilities are available for the use
of the occupants of such camp and such other information as the Town
Clerk may require.The Town Clerk may cause an inspection of the premises
to be made to determine whether or not the use of said premises for such
purposes viii constitute a fire hazard and to further determine that
satisfactory sewage and sanitary facilities are available.If the Town
Cl3rk is satisfied tht proper sewage and sanitary facilities have been
provided and that the use of the premises for such purposes will not
constitute a fire hazard,he may issue such license upon payment of a

license fee of twenty—five Dollars.If the Town Clerk is
not satisfied that proper sewage and sanitary facilities are available
or that the use of said premises for such purposes will constitute a
fire hazard,he shall refuse to issue such license and the applicant
may then apply to the Town Board for the issuance of such license and
the Town Board shall decide whether or not the license applied for shall
be granted and its decision shall be final.
Section 3.viry licensee shall keep the premises used for
a trailer camp in a clean,sanitary and orderly condition and shall
comply with all reaonab1e regulations and demands of the police,fire
and health departments of the Town of Estes Park,and in failing so to
do,such license may be revoked by the Town Board.
Section 4.All licenses shall expire on the 31st
day of December following the issuance of such license and no
rebate shall be allowed for a license issued for a portion of a year
or in case of a revocation of such license prior to its expiration.
Section 5.No house trailer as defined herein shall be parked
on any of the streets,alleys or other public ways of the Town of Sstes
Park for a longer period than two hours at any one time and no such
house trailer shall be used for living or sleeping purposes unless
said house trailer shall be parked in a trailer camp duly licensed
by the Town of Estes Park.
Section 6.No house trailer as defined herein shall be used
as a store,office or as a place for the carrying on of a business,
trade or profession.
Section 7.Anyperson,firm or corporation found guilty
of a violation of this ordinance shall be fined in an amount not to
exceed Three Hundred ($300.00)Dollars and in case of a violation of
this ordinance by one licensed to operate a trailer camp,or in case

of a violation by an agent or employee of a licensee,the Town Board
may revoke such license.
Section 8.7hereas there is no ordinance of the Town of
Estes Park regulating the use of house trailers and trailer camps and
whereas this ordinance is necessary for the immediate preservation of
the public peace,health and safety of the Town of Estes Park and the
inhabitants thereof,an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this
ordinance shall become in effect immediately upon its passage and
publication.
