AU ORDINANCE MAKING P?ROPRIATIONS FOR THE EXPENSES AND LIABILITIES OF
THE TONE OF ESTES PARK,FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGIUIIIUG APRIL FIRST,A.]).
1924.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD CF TRUSTEES OF THE TOVN OF ESTES PARK,
COLORADO.
Section 1.That for the purpose of defraying the expenses and
liabilities of the Town of Estee Park,Colorado,for the fiscal year
beginning April 1st,1924,the fol1owin named sums are hereby appro
priated out of the revenues of said town,for the purposes hereinafter
designated,to—wit:
STRl AlT ALLEY FUND:Thirty-five Hundred Dollars (3,500.00)
for maintenance,repair and improvement of the streets,alleys,avenues,
and ditches of the Town and for the payment of the salary of the street
sutervisor and othcr employees of the street department.
iER FUND:Fifteen Hundred Dollars (i,5oo.oO)
or such an amount as shall be found necessary for the maintenance and
improvement of the sewer system cnd for the payment of interest and
principal on outstanding sewer bonds.
POST OFFICE FUND:One Thousand Four Hundred Nine Dollars and eleven
cents (g,409.J.1)or such an amount thereof as shall be found necessary
for oe maintenance and improvement of the Post Office.
GONTIUGET FUND:Seventeen Hundred iollars ----(1,7OO.OO)
for the purpose of paying any expense or liability of the Town of Estee
park,not herein otherwise provided for,provided that if the entire
amount of this contingent fund shall not be required for such purpose,
the remainder thereof shall be placed to the credit of any other fund or
funds as may be deemed necessary in the discretion of the Board of Trustees
of the Town.
FIRE DEPARTUENT FUND:Fifteen Hundred Dollars (el,500.00)
for the purpose of purchasing fire equipment and maintenance of equipment of
this department.
Section 2.This ordinance is hereby termed to be the annual appropriation
bill for tlie next fiscal year,commencing on the first day of April,l24,and
this ordinance is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace,
health and safety and in the opinion of the Board of Trustees an emergency exists;

therefore,this ordinance shall take effect isuriediately after its final passage
and publication.
Section 3.The reasons vhy this ordinance is thus necessary are that it is
intended to provide for the expenses of maintenance of said Town and to provide
for the protection of the peace,health and safety of the ithabitants of the
Town.

rtAn Ordinance Concerning Plumbers,Plumbers’Licenses,
Plumbing Work,Sewers,Privies,Vaults and Cess Pools
within the Town of iistes Park,”which Ordinance No.
24 was passed and adopted by the Board of Trustees of
the Town of iistes Park on the twenty-sixth day of June,
A.D 192a.

That Ordinance No.24 of the Town of Etes
Park,passed and adopted on the twenty-sixth day of June,
A.D.1922 be and the same is hereby amended by adding
to said Ordinance,Section 9 and Section 10,which
Section 9 and Section 10 shall be in words and figures,
as follows:
Section 9.
The Board of Trustees of the Town of llstes
Park may at its discretion allow property outside the
corporate limits of the Town of Estes Park to connect
WitL1 the town sewer until such time as said sewers are
overloaded.Any persons desiring to connect any property
outside the corporate limits with the town sewer shall
make application to the Town Clerk and shall pay a fee of
Pifty Dollars (45o.oo)for a permit to tap said sewer and
shall thereupon be issued a permit to tap said town sewer
and shall thereafter par an annual maintenance charge of
Pifteen Dollars (çpl5.O0)for a house or cottage and an
annual maintenance fee of Twenty_five Dollars (25.OO)for
any hotel,which Eintenance fee shall be paid on or before
the 1st day of July

year.And whenever said fee is not paid by said date in any year the
Town of Estes Park shall have the right to disconnect s&id sewer from
the town sewer upon mailing a notice to the owner of said property
addressed to Bates Park,Colorado,in case no other post office ad
dress is known to the Thun Clerk,which notice shall be mailed ten
days before said sewer is disconnected and if said maintenance fee is
not paid at the end of ten days then said sewer shall be disconnected and
shall not be again connected until said maintenance fee is paid and an
additional taping fee of Fifty Dollars (5O.00)for again connecting said
sewer.The annual maintenance charges above provided,and all rules rela
tive thereto,shall apply to all property outside the corporate limits
and already connected as well as prcperty hereafter cormected.
Section 10.
All sewers outside of the Town of E3tes Fan:mid the owners
thereof shall be governed in all resiects by the whole of Ordinance No.
24 to which this is an Ianendment and by all other Ordinances hich may
hereafter be adopted concerning sewers.And all sewers outside the cor—
iorate 1jrits shall be laid under the direction of the sewer coittee of
the ?:rn of Estes Park.The Board of Trustees expressly reserves the
right to order any sewer outside thc Town of Estes Park disconneoted from
the town system at any time upon giving thirty days written notice to be
served in the same manner as the notice above referred to concerning the
annual maintcnance charge.Provided however,that this reservation is made
to protect the town sewer from becoming overloaded and in ease it becomes
necessary to cut off outside sewage,said outside ewrs shall be

ordered.disconnected.according to their connecting
dates,the last sewer to be connected being the first
to be cut off and so on cutting off the last sewers
connected.until the system is not overloaded without
disconnecting any property within the corporate limits
of the Town of Estes park regardless of the time said
sewer inside the corporate limits were connected...It
being understood that the property within the corporate
limits shall have the right at all times to the use of
the town sewer system regardless of the outside sewers,
&id.provided.also,that whenever any outside sewer is
disconnected any annual maintenance charge which has
been paid shall be refunded pro rata for any unexpired
time.
