c © ORDINANCE NO.296 AN ORDINANCE REGULATING AND CONTROLLING ELECTRICAL CONDUCTORS AND EUIPNENT IN STALLED IN THE TOWN OF ESTES PARK,COLORADO, WITHIN OR ON PUBLIC AND PRIVAIE BUILDINGS AND OTHER PREMISES,INCLUDING YARDS,CARNIVAL AND PARKING LOTS,AND INDUSTRIAL SUBSTATIONS, AND ALSO THE CONDUCTORS THAT CONNECT THE IN STALLATIONS TO A SUPPLY OF ELECTRICITY,AND OTHER OUTSIDE CONDUCTORS ADJACENT TO THE PREMISES,AND ALSO MOBILE HOM$AND TRAVEL TRAILERS.ADOPTING BY REFERENCE THE NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE,1965 EDITION.ANENDING SECTION 11.5 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE TOWN OF ES’IES PARK,COLORADO. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF ESTES PARK,COLORADO: Section 1.That the National Electrical Code,1965 Edition,NFPA No.70;ASA Cl-1965,issued by the National Fire Protection Association of 60 Batterymarch Street, Boston,Massachusetts 02110,at least three (3)copies of which have been certified as true copies by the Mayor and Clerk of the Town of Estes Park,Colorado and which are now on file in the office of the Town Clerk,is hereby enacted and adopted by reference and incorporated and made a part of the Municipal Code of the Town of Estes Park,Colorado as hereinafter provided.The said National Electrical Code covers the electrical conductors and equipment installed within or on public and private buildings and other premises, including yards,carnival and parking lots,and industrial substations,and also the conductors that connect the in stallations to a supply of electricity,and other outside conductors adjacent to the premises,and also mobile homes and travel trailers. Section 2.That Section 11.5 of the Municipal Code of the Town of Estes Park,Colorado be and the same is hereby amended to read: V. ‘ s 11.5 National Electrical Code Adopted.All electrical conductors and equipment installed in the Town of Estes Park,Colorado,within or on public and private buildings and other premises,including yards,carnival and parking lots,and industrial substations,and also the conductors that connect the installations to a supply of electricity, and other outside conductors adjacent to the premises,and also mobile homes and travel trailers,shall be installed in conformity with the requirements of the National Electrical Code,1965 Edition,NFPA No.70;ASA Cl-l965, issued by the National Fire Protection Association of 60 Batterymarch Street,Boston,Massachusetts 02110,which National Electrical Code,is incorporated herein and adopted by reference. Section 3.The Board of Trustees herewith finds, determines and designates that this ordinance is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public health and safety for the regulation of the installation of electrical conductors and equipment has a bearing on the public health and safety,and whereas in the opinion of the Board of Trustees an emergency exists,this ordinance shall take effect and be in force five (5)days after its final passage, adoption and publication. The above ordinance was passed on second reading and adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Town of Estes Park, Colorado at its regular meeting held on Monday,April 25, 1966.
