HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE 28-71fl ORDINANCE NO.28-71 THE ANNUAL APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE:APPROPRIATING SUMS OF ?‘VNEY TO DEFRAY EXPENSES AND LIABILITIES OF THE TOWN OF ESTES PARK,COLORADO,FOR THE WN’S FISCAL YEAR BEGINNIG JANUARY 1,1972,AND ENDING ON THE MST DAY OF DECEMBER,1972. WHEREAS,the Board of Trustees has,by Ordinance,adopted a budget for the Town for the fiscal year beginning January 1,1972,and ending on the last day of December,1972,and; WHEREAS,the Board of Trustees has,by Ordinance,made the proper tax levy in mills upon each dollar of the total assessed valuation of all taxable property within the Town such levy representing the amount of taxes for Town purposes necessary to provide for payment during the Town’s said fiscal year of all properly authorized demands upon the treasury,and; WHEREAS,the Board of Trustees is now desirous of making appropria tions for the ensuing fiscal year. NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF ESTES PARK,COLORADO: Section 1.That the following appropriations are hereby made for the Town of Estes Park,Colorado,for the fiscal year beginning January 1,1972,and ending on the last day of December,1972,from the General Fund for the payment of operating expenses and capital outlay of the general government,public safety,public works,public health,contin gencies,and for payment of the principal and interest on the Town’s general debt: General Fund $673,020.00 Section 2.That the sum of $1,108,713.00 is hereby appropriated from the Light and Power Fund for the following purposes: Operating Expenses $563,113.00 Capital Additions 513,100.00 Debt Service 32,500.00 Section 3.That the sum of $740,644.00 is hereby appropriated from the Water Fund for the following purposes: Operating Expenses $107,000.00 Capital Additions 484,304.00 Debt Service 149,340.00 6 C)C ORDINANCE NO.28-71(Continued) Section 4.That the sum of $14,685.00 is hereby appropriated from the Public Library Fund for the following purposes: Operating Expenses $14,185.00 Capital Addition 500.00 Section 5.The Board of Trustees herewith finds,determines and designates that this Ordinance is necessary for the immediate preserva tion of the public peace,health and safety,and whereas an emergency exists,this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force five (5)days after its final passage,adoption and publication.
