HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE 43-72b ORDINANCE NO.43-72 AN ORDINANCE A1VIENDING SECTIONS 5-1, 5—2 AND 5—5 OF ORDINANCE NO.24—70 OF THE TOWN OF ESTES PARK,COLORADO, RELATING TO SALES TAX LICENSES. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF ESTES PARK,COLORADO: Section 1.That Sections 5—1,5—2 and 5—3 of Ordinance No.24—70 of the Ordinances of the Town of Estes Park,Colorado, are amended to read as follows: 5—1.It shall be unlawful for any person to engage in the business of selling tangible personal property at retail, or to furnish services that are taxable pursuant to Section 4, Article 5,Chapter 158,C.R.S.1965,as amended,without first having obtained a license therefor.Such license shall be granted and issued by the Town Clerk and shall be in force and effect so long as the licensee is engaged in the business for which such license was issued,unless sooner revoked. 5—2.Such licenses shall be granted only upon appli cation stating the name and address of the person desiring such a license,the name of such business and the location and such other facts as the Town Clerk may require. 5—5.It shall be the duty of each licensee to advise the Town Clerk of any change of ownership or cessation of the retail business for which such license was issued. Section 2.The Board of Trustees of the Town of Estes Park,Colorado,herewith finds,determines and designates that this ordinance is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace,health and safety for providing for sales tax licenses affects the public peace,health and safety,and whereas in the opinion of the Board of Trustees an emergency exists,this ordinance shall take effect and be in force five (5)days after its final passage,adoption and publication. 1 © PASSED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES ANID SIGNED THIS 27th DAY OF November ,1972. 7Y’f// May04’ TOWN OF ESTESPARK,COLORADO (SEAL) ATTEST: (K // Town Clerk —2—
