HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE 11-780 0 ORDINANCE NO.11 -78 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 14.20 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE TOWN OF ESTES PARK,COLORADO,PERTAINING TO ELECTRICAL CONSTRUCTION REQUIREMENTS. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF ESTES PARK,COLORADO: Section 1.That Chapter 14.20 of the Municipal Code of the Town of Estes Park,Colorado is amended by adding the following section: 14.20.080 Electrical Construction Requirements. A.All new structures in Fire Zone 1 and existing structures that are altered,added to or repaired in excess of 50%and located in Fire Zone 1 shall be entirely wired in rigid or steel tube conduit or approved metal raceways. B.Structures located in Fire Zone 2 and Fire Zone 3 used for the purposes in Table Number 5-A of the Uniform Building Code,1976 Edition,shall be wired in rigid or steel tube conduit or approved metal raceways. C.Buildings and structures described as R-l, R-3,M-1 and M-2 occupancies in the Uniform Building Code,1976 Edition,and located within Fire Zone 2 and Fire Zone 3,may be wired by any method allowed by the National Electric Code,1978 Edition.
