HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE 02-780 ORDINANCE NO.2-7d AN ORDINZNCE AMENDING SECTION 2.52.020 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE TOWN OF ESTES PARK, COLORADO,THE SAME PERTAINING TO COMPENSATION OF MUNICIPAL JUDGES. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOAPD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF ESTES PARK,COLORADO: Section 1.That Section 2.52.020 of the Municipal Code of the Town of Estes Park,Colorado,is amended as follows: 2.52.020 Compensation of municipal judges.The municipal judge shall receive as compensation for his services as municipal judge an annual salary of seven thousand five hun dred dollars per year,payable monthly;the assistant municipal judge shall receive as compensation for his services as assis tant municipal judge an annual salary of two hundred twenty—five dollars per year,payable auarterly;provided,that any municipal judge who serves for only a part of a year shall receive for his compensation only that portion of the foregoing annual salary as determined by the number of days he actually serves as a muni cipal judge or assistant municipal judge. Section 2.The Board of Trustees of the Town of Estes Park,Colorado,herewith finds,determines,and designates that this Ordinance is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace,health and safety for the compensation of muni cipal judges affects the Town’s ability to obtain their services and such services affect the public peace,health and safety; and whereas,in the opinion of the Board of Trustees,an emer gency exists,this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force after its final passage,adoption and the aoproval and signature of the Mayor.
