Meeting held in the Town Hall in said Town of Estes Park on the 22nd day of November , A. D. 1543.9.at regular meeting hour. Meeting called to order by Mayor H. Bernerd Dannels Present Mayor H. B. Dannels Trustees: Also Present: Ags4k/ Absent: None Gary F. Klaphake, Town Administrator Gregory A. White, Town Attorney Vickie O'Connor, Town Clerk Norbert L. Aldrich, David Barker, Milan A. Dickinson, Polly Garrett, David Habecker, George J. Hix Mayor Dannels called a special meeting of the Board of Trustees to order at 4:42 P.M. to consider the Ground Lease relating to the Conference Center. Town Attorney White briefed the Trustees on the Ground Lease Agreement from Rex Maughan to the Town of Estes Park for a 2.79 acre site. An Assignment of Ground Lease from the Town to the Estes Park Urban Renewal Authority was also included in the Agreement. The 50-year lease period was described in two (2) sections: a 30-year lease period, followed by an option to renew for the remaining 20 years (through 2038). Lease payments escalate from $1.00/year for the first 3 years to $37,000 for the last ten (10) years. There will be no cost to the Town as the lease payments and Maughan's concessionaire payments are equal. Trustee Aldrich introduced, and Town Attorney White read in full, the following ordinance and moved it be passed and adopted: AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A GROUND LEASE AND ASSIGNMENT OF GROUND LEASE Trustee Hix seconded the motion and it passed by the following votes: Those voting "Yes" Trustees Aldrich, Barker, Dickinson, Garrett, Habecker and Hix. Those voting "No" none. Whereupon Mayor Dannels declared said ordinance duly passed and adopted and ordered it numbered 12-89 and published according to law. The Trustees commended Attorney White for his efforts toward finalization of the Ground Lease Agreement. There being no further business, Mayor Dannels adjourned the meeting at 4:52 P.M. 72 . . Mayor
