Meeting called to order by Mayor

Meeting held in the Town Hall in said Town of Estes Park

Minutes of the meeting held May 26, 1987 were submitted and
approved.
Trustee Hix moved the bills, as presented, be allowed and paid
and that the Clerk be authorized to draw warrants for same. (A
certified copy of the bills presented and allowed are on file in
the Finance Office under this date, and made a part of the record
of these proceedings by reference thereto). Trustee Habecker
seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.
Minutes of the Stanley Park Committee meeting held May 27, 1987
were read. Trustee Hix, Chairman of the Committee, moved the
minutes be approved. Trustee Habecker seconded the motion and it
passed unanimously.
Trustee Brown moved the Mayor be authorized to execute the
following Agreements:
Paint Horse Show, August 6 - 9, 1987
Americade, September 4, 1987
Family Motor Coach Association, September 11 & 12, 1987.
Trustee Dickinson seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.
Minutes of the Public Works Committee meeting held May 28, 1987
were read. Trustee Brown, Chairman of the Committee, moved the
minutes be approved. Trustee Hix seconded the motion and it
passed unanimously.
Minutes of the Public Safety Committee meeting held May 28, 1987
were read. Trustee Aldrich, Chairman of the Committee, moved the
minutes be approved contingent upon the proposed "Alarm Ordi-
nance" returning to the Committee for further review. Trustee
Hix seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.
Trustee Aldrich introduced, and Town Attorney White read in full,
the following Ordinance and moved it be passed and adopted:
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 10 OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE TOWN OF ESTES PARK,
COLORADO, THE SAME PERTAINING TO PARKING OF
VEHICLES
Trustee Brown seconded the motion and it passed by the following
votes: Those voting "Yes" Trustees Aldrich, Barker, Brown,
Dickinson, Habecker and Hix. Those voting "No" none. Whereupon
Mayor Dannels declared said Ordinance duly passed and adopted and
ordered it numbered 12-87 and published according to law.

Trustee Aldrich introduced, and Town Attorney White read in full,
the following Ordinance and moved it be approved and adopted:
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 9 OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE TOWN OF ESTES PARK,
COLORADO, THE SAME PERTAINING TO DISCHARGE OF
FIREARMS
Trustee Barker seconded the motion and it passed by the following
votes: Those voting "Yes" Trustees Aldrich, Harker, Brown,
Dickinson, Habecker and Hix. Those voting "No" none. Whereupon
Mayor Dannels declared said Ordinance duly passed and adopted and
ordered it numbered 13-87 and published according to law.
Trustee Dickinson moved the Mayor be authorized to execute the
"Mutual Aid Agreement" between Larimer County Municipalities and
the Town of Estes Park. Trustee Aldrich seconded the motion and
it passed unanimously.
Minutes of the Administrative Committee meeting held June 4, 1987
were read. Trustee Hix, Chairman of the Committee, moved the
minutes be approved. Trustee Aldrich seconded the motion and it
passed unanimously.
Minutes of the Light and Power Committee meeting held June 4,
1987 were read. Trustee Hix, Chairman of the Committee, moved
the minutes be approved. Trustee Habecker seconded the motion
and it passed unanimously.
Minutes of the "Special" Stanley Park Committee meeting held June
5, 1987 were read. Trustee Hix, Chairman of the Committee, moved
the minutes be approved. Trustee Habecker seconded the motion
and it passed unanimously.
The revised "Decision and Order" concerning the 6.8% Electric
Rate Increase was presented for ratification. Trustee Hix moved
the Mayor be authorized to execute said Decision and Order.
Trustee Brown seconded the motion and it passed by the following
votes: Those voting "Yes" Trustees Aldrich, Barker, Brown,
Dickinson, Habecker and Hix. Those voting "No" none.
Trustee Aldrich moved the Clerk be authorized to post the prem-
ises for a Special Events Liquor Permit requested by the Longs
Peak Scottish Highland Festival (Stanley Baseball Field).
Trustee Hix seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.
Trustee Barker moved the Change of Ownership Tavern Liquor
License application from James Hickman dba Elkhorn Lodge to
Elkhorn, Inc., dba The Olde Elkhorn Lodge, 530 West Elkhorn
Avenue, be approved. Trustee Aldrich seconded the motion and it
passed unanimously.
Trustee Hix introduced, and Town Administrator Hill read in full,
the following Resolution and moved it be passed and adopted:
RESOLUTION 9-87
WHEREAS, on the 6th day of June, 1987, death
brought to a close the active life of Ronald C. Brodie;
and
WHEREAS, Ronald C. Brodie has, through his con-
stant civic endeavors, earned the affection of the
people of the Estes Park Valley; and
WHEREAS, his service to the Town of Estes Park
during his lifetime here has been outstanding and
constant;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and
Board of Trustees, by this Resolution and Public
Record, recognize the profound influence of Ronald C.

Brodie upon the development of the community, recogniz-
ing further that his death is a distinct loss to the
Town in which he worked and won deep respect and
affection.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this Resolution of
Respect be adopted and that a copy be sent to his
bereaved family in recognition of his respected place
in the community.
Trustee Brown seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned to a Study
Session to discuss the 1986 Audit Report.
Upon conclusion of the Study Session, the Board will meet in
Executive Session to discuss legal matters.
