Wagner,Richard A.Wood Also Present:Town Administrator -Dale G.Hill Town Clerk —Joan Van Horn Executive Secretary —Ann Jensen Absent:None Minutes of the regular meeting held April 27,1982,were submitted and approved. Trustee H.Bernerd Dannels moved the following bills be allowed and paid and the Clerk be authorized to draw warrants for the same.(A certified copy of the bills read and allowed are on file in the office of the Town Clerk under this date,and made a part of the record of these proceedings by reference thereto).Trustee Graves seconded the motion and it passed by the following votes:Those voting “Yes”Trustees H.Bernerd Dannels,Byron L.Graves,George J.Hix,Margaret Houston,Robert E.Wagner,Richard A.Wood.Those voting “No”none. Trustee Margaret Houston,Chairwoman of the Light and Power Committee, read the minutes of a meeting held May 6,1982,and moved the minutes be approved.Trustee Wood seconded the motion.Several members of the Board of Trustees questioned the recommendation of the Committee regarding street lighting in Ferncliff.They expressed concern that entering into an agreement,whereby the Town would lease Mr.Kvols power pole in return for street lighting service, would set an undesirable precedent.The motion was then voted upon and received the following votes:Those voting “Yes”Trustees Margaret Houston,Byron L.Graves,George J.Hix.Those voting “No”Trustees H.Bernerd Dannels,Robert E.Wagner,Richard A. Wood.Mayor Harry B.Tregent voted “No”defeating the motion. Trustee Margaret Houston then moved that the minutes be approved deleting the portion pertaining to street lighting in Ferncliff. Trustee Richard A.Wood seconded the motion and it passed by the following votes:Those voting “Yes”Trustees H.Bernerd Dannels, George J.Hix,Margaret Houston,Robert E.Wagner,Richard A. Wood.Those voting “No”Trustee Byron L.Graves. Trustee Robert E.Wagner introduced the following resolution and moved it be passed and adopted: RESOLUTION BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF ESTES PARK,COLORADO: The Board of Trustees of the Town of Estes Park,Colorado, in accordance with Section 31—12-107 (1)(g),C.R.S.1973,as amended,hereby states its intention to annex the area described herein.The Board of Trustees finds and determines that the peti tion is in substantial compliance with Section 31-12-107 (1)(g)C.R.S.1973,as amended.The Board of Trustees further finds and determines that the petition Is signed by the landowners of more than fifty percent (50%)of the area to be annexed,excluding public streets and alleys.Such area,as annexed,will be known Board of Trustees -May 11,1982 -Page 2 as “Fall River Estates Second Addition”to the Town of Estes Park,Colorado.Such area is described as follows: FALL RIVER ESTATES SECOND ADDITION to the Town of Estes Park.Colorado,a portion of the South 2/2 of the Southwest 1/4 of Section 15 and the East 1/2 of the Northwest 2/4 of Section 22, T5N,R73W of the 6th P.M..being more particularly described as follows: Commencing at the Center 1/4 corner of said Section 22 as monumented by a brass capped pipe. with all bearings relative to the East line of the Northwest 1/4 of said Section 22 considered as bearing N0105’0OE;thence NB9O4’O0W a distance of 305.15 feet along the South line of the Northwest 1/4 of said Section 22 to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING: thence N89’O4’O0W a distance of 955.20 feet continuing along the South line of the Northwest 1/4 of said Section 22 to a 1/16th corner as nonumented by a pin with cap no.6499: thence N01f5’24”E a distance of 2561.43 feet along the West line of the East 1/2 of the Northwest 1/4 of said Section 22 to a 1/16th corner as monumented by a G.L.O.brass capped pipe; Board of Trustees -May 11,1982 -page 3 Trustee Margaret Houston moved the liquor license renewal fortheLionsClubofEstesParkbeapproved.Trustee Richard A.Wood seconded the motion and it passed unanimously. Trustee Richard A.Wood moved that the liquor license renewalfortheSurreyRestaurant,Inc.d/b/a La Casa Del Estorito beapproved.Trustee Robert E.Wagner seconded the motion and itpassedunanimously. Harry L.Schroeder submitted a request to change the name of hisliquorlicensedbusinessknownas“Antlers Restaurant and Lounge”to “Bavarian Inn”.Trustee Margaret Houston moved the request be approved.Trustee George J.Hix seconded the motion and itpassedunanimously. A letter was received from the Colorado Municipal League inquiringastowhetherornottheTownofEstesParkwouldliketoparticipatethroughtheLeagueinopposingtheMountainBellrateincreaseapplicationfiledApril12,1982.The cost forEstesParkwouldbe5percapitaor$134.15.Trustee RobertE.Wagner moved the Town of Estes Park not participate inopposingtheMountainBellrateincrease.Trustee Dannels seconded the motion and it passed unanimously. The Board of Trustees received a letter dated May 4,1982,fromJoyceEllenbecker,Director of the Larimer County Housing Authority,requesting the Town’s input regarding the possibility of findinglandforseniorcitizensmulti-family housing.Mayor Harry 3.Tregent referred this letter to the Public Works Department forconsideration. There being no further business,the meeting adjourned. •. . Mayor Town erk
