The Reverend Kenneth Smith, representing the Inter-Faith Association of Estes Park, spoke regarding nuclear arms and presented a proposal for action on nuclear arms.Trustee Robert E.Wagner moved that this proposal be approved. PROPOSAL FOR ACTION ON NUCLEAR ARMS MORATORIUM To improve national and international security, the United States and the Soviet Union should together adopt a freeze on the testing, production and deployment of nuclear weapons and of missiles and new aircraft designed primarily to deliver nuclear weapons. This is an essential, verifiable first step toward lessen ing the risk of nuclear war and reducing the nuclear arsenals. Trustee George Hix seconded the motion and it passed unanimously. Reverend Smith then presented a proposal concerning crisis relocation plans.Trustee araaret Houston moved that this proposal be approved. PROPOSAL CONCERNING CRISIS RELOCATION PLANS We wholeheartedly support any and all efforts to help victims of any crisis that can be dealt with.We oppose, however, the apparent illusion that any evacuation or relocation plan is feasible where survival is as questionable, leaving the living only to envy the dead in the holocaust of a nuclear war.Our first priority should be the pursuit of world peace and not preparation for disaster that is not survivable.
