Minutes of a
regular
meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Town of Estes
Park, Lorimer County, Colorado. Meeting held in the Town Hall in said Town of Estes Park
on the 12th day of May , A. D. 19a1. at regular meeting
hour.
Meeting called to order by Mayor Harry B. Tregent
Present: Mayor Harry B. Tregent Trustees: Robert E. Burgess, H. Bernerd
Dannels, Byron L. Graves,
Margaret Houston, Craig W.
Meusel, Robert E. Wagner
Also Present:
Town Administrator -
Dale G. Hill
Town Clerk - Joan Van Horn
Absent: None
Minutes of the regular meeting held April 28, 1981 were read and
approved as read.
Trustee Robert E. Wagner moved the following bills be allowed and
paid and the Clerk be authorized to draw warrants for the same.
(A certified copy of the bills read and allowed are on file in
the office of the Town Clerk under this date, and made a part of
the record of these proceedings by reference thereto.) Trustee
Houston seconded the motion and it passed by the following votes:
Those voting "Yes" Trustees Robert E. Burgess, H. Bernerd Dannels,
Myron L. Graves, Margaret IIouston, Craig 7. Meusel, Robert E.
Wagner. Those voting "No" none,
Trustee Robert E. Burgess, Chairman of the Light & Power Committee,
read the minutes of a meeting held May 7, 1981 and moved the
minutes be approved. Trustee Houston seconded the motion and it
passed unanimously.
Trustee H. Bernerd Dannels introduced and the Town Administrator
read in full the following entitled ordinance and Trustee Dannels
moved it be passed and adopted on first and final reading:
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 12 OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE TOWN OF ESTES PARK,
COLORADO, THE SAME PERTAINING TO CURB CUTS.
Trustee Wagner seconded the motion and it passed by the following
votes: Those voting "Yes" Trustees H. Bernerd Dannels, Byron L.
Graves, Margaret Houston, Craig W. Meusel, Robert E. Wagner, Robert
E. Burgess. Those voting "No" none. Whereupon Mayor Harry B.
Tregent declared said ordinance duly passed and adopted and ordered
it numbered #6-81 and published according to law.
Trustee Robert E. Burgess moved the liquor license renewal of the
Stanley Hotel be approved. Trustee Wagner seconded the motion
and it passed unanimously.
Trustee Robert E. Wagner moved the liquor license renewal for La
Casa Del Estorito be approved. Trustee Houston seconded the
motion and it passed unanimously.
Trustee Robert E. Wagner moved the liquor license renewal for the
Inn at Estes Park be approved. Trustee Meusel seconded the motion
and it passed unanimously.
Gary Brown appeared on behalf of the Village School, a non-profit
preschool, requesting to use Bond Park on June 28, 1981 for a
food concession during the Coors Bicycle race. Trustee Robert E.
Wagner moved the request be approved provided the appropriate
occupation and sales tax licenses are obtained. Trustee Meusel
seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.

A request was received from the Fine Arts Guild to use Bond Park
on September 19th & 20th, 1981 for the annual arts and crafts
festival. Trustee H. Bernerd Dannels moved the request be tabled
until the map showing the proposed layout of the crafts fair is
submitted. Trustee Houston seconded the motion and it passed
unanimously.
Karen LaMarsh appeared on behalf of the Estes Park Swim Team
requesting to use Bond Park on June 13, 1981 for a bake sale.
Trustee Robert E. Burgess moved the request be approved provided
the appropriate occupation and sales tax licenses are obtained.
Trustee Dannels seconded the motion and it passed by the following
votes: Those voting "Yes" Trustees Robert E. Wagner, Byron L.
Graves, Craig W. Meusel, Robert E. Burgess, H. Bernerd Dannels.
Those voting "No" Trustee Margaret Houston.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
