Meeting held in the Town Hall in said Town of Estes Park on the 23rd day of June , A. D. 19 69 at regular meeting hour. Meeting called to order by Moyor Ronald C. Brodie Present: Mayor Ronald C. Brodie TrusteesHenry D. Dannels, E. S. Erickson, Marvin L. Steele, Harry B. Tregent Also Present: Town Administrator and Clerk Dale G. Hill Absent: Trustees N. T. Petrocine and Carl R. Swanson Minutes of the regular meeting held June 9, 1969 were read and approved as read. Mayor Ronald C. Brodie proceeded to conduct a public hearing regarding the organization of the Estes Park General Improvement District #1. Mr. Dunn Krahl of Boettcher & Company explained to the Board of Trustees that two petitions for exclusion from the Estes Park Sanitation District have not yet been filed; therefore, he advises the Town cannot legally proceed with the formation of the proposed district. Mayor Brodie post- poned the hearing until such time as all of the exclusions have been filed. Trustee E. S. Erickson introduced and the Town Clerk read in full the following entitled ordinance and Trustee Erickson moved it be passed on first reading: AN ORDINANCE PERTAINING TO ELECTRICAL CONDUCTORS AND EQUIPMENT INSTALLED WITHIN OR ON PUBLIC AND PRIVATE BUILDINGS AND OTHER PREMISES WITHIN THE TOWN OF ESTES PARK, COLORADO, INCLUDING YARDS, CARNIVAL AND PARK- ING LOTS, AND INDUSTRIAL SUBSTATIONS, AND ALSO CON- DUCTORS THAT CONNECT THE INSTALLATIONS TO A SUPPLY OF ELECTRICITY AND OTHER OUTSIDE CONDUCTORS ADJACENT TO THE PREMISES, AND ALSO MOBILE HOMES AND TRAVEL TRAILERS. ADOPTING BY REFERENCE THE NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE, 1968 EDITION. AMENDING SECTION 11.5 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE TOWN OF ESTES PARK, COLORADO. Trustee Marvin L. Steele seconded the motion. Upon roll call the motion unanimously carried by the following votes. Those voting "Yes" Trustees Henry D. Dannels, E. S. Erickson, Marvin L. Steele, Harry B. Tregent. Those voting "No" none. Whereupon Mayor Ronald C. Brodie declared said ordinance duly passed on first reading. Mayor Ronald C. Brodie tabled consideration of an ordinance to amend Section 21.10(k) requiring any division of lots to be platted and approved. Trustee Harry B. Tregent introduced and the Town Clerk read in full the following entitled ordinance and Trustee Tregent moved it be passed on first reading: AN ORDINANCE REPEALING SECTION 19.10 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE TOWN OF ESTES PARK, COLORADO, THE SAME PERTAINING TO PARKING LOTS. Trustee Henry D. Dannels seconded the motion. Upon roll call the motion unanimously carried by the following votes. Those voting "Yes" Trustees Henry D. Dannels, E. S. Erickson, Marvin L. Steele, Harry B. Tregent. Those voting "No" none. Whereupon Mayor Ronald C. Brodie declared said ordinance duly passed on first reading. Meeting held in the Town Hall in said Town of Estes Park on the day of A. D. 19 at regular meeting hour. Meeting called to order by Mayor Present: Mayor Trustees: Also Present: Absent: The Board of Trustees decided to install removable rodeo banner poles on Parking Lot #1 as per the plans and specifications submitted by the Estes Park Beautification Committee. Trustee Harry B. Tregent will instruct the Light & Power Department on the installation. The Estes Park Planning Commission minutes of June 17, 1969 were read to the Board of Trustees. Chairman Henry D. Dannels read the Board of Adjustment minutes of June 10, 1969 to the Board of Trustees. Trustee Harry B. Tregent, Chairman of the Light and Power Committee, reported on a Light and Power Committee meeting as itemized in the min- utes of June 16, 1969 and moved that the minutes be approved and adopted. Trustee E. S. Erickson seconded the motion. Upon roll call the motion unanimously carried. Trustee Harry B. Tregent, Chairman of the Police Committee, reported on a Police Committee meeting as itemized in the minutes of June 12, 1969 and moved that the minutes be approved and accepted. Trustee Marvin L. Steele seconded the motion. Upon roll call the motion unanimously carried. The Board of Trustees discussed House Bill #1461 which would provide for a State collected sales tax in the amount of 2% which would be re- funded to counties and cities according to point of collection. The Board of Trustees were of the opinion that should a sales tax be nec- essary, they would be in favor of this method of administration.
