meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Town of Estes
Park, Lorimer County, Colorado. Meeting held in the Town Hall in said Town of Estes Park
on the 9th day of June , A. D. 19 69 at regular meeting
hour.
Meeting called to order by Mayor Ronald C. Brodie
Present:Mayor Ronald C. Brodie Trusteesilenry D. Dannels, E. S. Erickson,
N. T. Petrocine, Marvin L. Steele,
Also Present: Harry B. Tregent
Town Administrator and Clerk Dale G. Hill
Absent: Trustee Carl R. Swanson
Minutes of the regular meeting held May 26, 1969 were read and approved
as read.
Several citizens appeared before the Council to discuss parking regulations.
A petition signed by approximately fifty merchants concerning parking regu-
lationswas read to the Council. Several people in attendance spoke on
this subject and Mr. Harry Miles of the Chamber of Commerce presented
some suggestions from the Retail Merchants Committee.
Trustee E. S. Erickson moved the following bills be allowed and paid
and the Clerk be authorized to draw warrants for same. (A Certified
copy of the bills read and allowed are on file in the office of the
Town Clerk under this date and made a part of the record of these pro-
ceedings by reference thereto.) Trustee Henry B. Dannels seconded the
motion. Upon roll call the motion passed by the following votes. Those
voting "Yes" Trustee Henry D. Dannels, E. S. Erickson, N. T. Petrocine,
Marvin L. Steele, Harry B. Tregent. Those voting "No" none.
Trustee Henry B. Dannels introduced and the Town Clerk read in full the
following entitled ordinance and Trustee Henry B. Dannels moved it be
passed and adopted on second and final reading:
ANNUAL APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE OF THE MUNICIPAL
WATER DEPARTMENT OF THE TOWN OF ESTES PARK,
COLORADO, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JULY 1,
1969, AND ENDING JUNE 30, 1970.
Trustee Marvin L. Steele seconded the motion. Upon roll call the motion
passed by the following votes. Those voting "Yes" Trustees Henry D.
Dannels, E. S. Erickson, N. T. Petrocine, Marvin L. Steele, Harry B.
Tregent. Those voting "No" none. Whereupon Mayor Ronald C. Brodie de-
clared said ordinance duly passed and adopted and ordered it numbered
367 and published according to law.
Trustee Henry D. Dannels, Chairman of the Water Committee, reported on
a Water Committee meeting as itemized in the minutes of June 2, 1969,
and moved that the minutes be approved and adopted. Trustee Marvin L.
Steele seconded the motion. Upon roll call the motion unanimously
carried.
In accordance with the Municipal Code of the Town of Estes Park, Section
14.4 and 14.5, Trustee Marvin L. Steele moved the Estes Park Gas Company
be granted a permit to install a five hundred gallon underground tank
for the storage of flammable and combustible liquids. Trustee Harry B.
Tregent seconded the motion. Upon roll call the motion unanimously
carried.

The Board discussed enforcement of traffic regulations. It seemed to
be the concensus of opinion that the parking regulations should be
enforced with a strong accent on courtesy tickets. Police Committee
Chairman Tregent, Town Administrator Hill and Chief of Police Ault
will review this subject prior to the Police Committee meeting of
June 12, 1969.
