Minutes of a regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Town of Estes
Park, Larimer County, Colorado. Meeting held in the Town Hall in said Town of
Estes Park on the 8th day of July

Minutes of the regular meeting held June 24, 1968 were read and approved
as read.
Trustee E. S. Erickson moved the following bills be allowed and paid and
the Clerk be authorized to draw warrants for same. (A Certified copy of
the bills read and allowed are on file in the office of the Town Clerk
under this date and made a part of the record of these proceedings by
reference thereto.) Trustee Henry D. Dannels seconded the motion. Upon
roll call the motion passed by the following votes. Those voting "Yes"
Trustees Henry Dannels, E. S. Erickson, Marvin L. Steele, Carl R.
Swanson, Harry B. Tregent. Those voting "No" none.
William 0. Myers, Chairman of the Beautification Committee, reported on
the progress of parking lot number one. Mr. Myers stated that with the
exception of the rear portion of the lot which will be completed this
fall, the landscaping will soon be finished. The planned lighting
arrangement will begin next spring.
Trustee Henry D. Dannels, Chairman of the Water Committee, reported on
a Water Committee meeting as itemized in the minutes of July 1, 1968,
and moved that the minutes be approved and adopted. Trustee Marvin L.
Steele seconded the motion. Upon roll call the motion unanimously
carried.
Trustee Henry D. Dannels introduced and the Town Clerk read in full,
the following entitled ordinance and Trustee Dannels moved it be passed
and adopted on first reading:
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 6.5, 6.6 AND 6.7 OF
THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE TOWN OF ESTES PARK, COLORADO,
PERTAINING TO WATER TAP APPLICATIONS, CHARGES, FEES
AND SIZES.
Trustee Marvin L. Steele seconded the motion. Upon roll call the motion
passed by the following votes. Those voting "Yes" Trustees Henry D.
Dannels, E. S. Erickson, Marvin L. Steele, Carl R. Swanson and Harry
B.Tregent. Those voting "No" none. Whereupon Mayor Ronald Brodie de-
clared said ordinance duly passed and adopted and ordered it numbered
347 and published according to law.
Trustee Marvin L. Steele, Chairman of the Building Code Committee,
reported on a Building Code Committee meeting as itemized in the min-
utes of July 2, 1968, and moved that the minutes be approved and adopted.
Trustee Henry D. Dannels seconded the motion. Upon roll call the motion
unanimously carried.
Harry B. Tregent, member of the Wage Study Committee, reported on a
meeting of this committee held July 1, 1968 and moved that the minutes
be approved and adopted. Trustee Henry D. Dannels seconded the motion.
Upon roll call the motion passed by the following votes. Those voting
"Yes" Trustees Henry D. Dannels, E. S. Erickson, Marvin L. Steele, Carl
R. Swanson and Harry B. Tregent. Those voting "No" none.

The Town Clerk read a letter dated July 3, 1968 from Mrs. Josephine
Berger resigning as a member of the Estes Park Public Library Board.
Trustee Harry H. Tregent moved the resignation be accepted. Trustee
E. S. Erickson seconded the motion. Upon roll call the motion passed
by the following votes. Those voting "Yes" Trustees Henry D. Dannels,
E. S. Erickson, Marvin L. Steele, Carl R. Swanson and Harry B. Tregent.
Those voting "No" none.
Trustee E. S. Erickson moved the Board of Trustees appoint Mrs. William
H. Hintz to fill the unexpired term to the Estes Park Library Board of
Mrs. Josephine Berger. Trustee Carl R. Swanson seconded the motion.
Upon roll call the motion passed by the following votes. Those voting
"Yes" Trustees Henry D. Dannels, E. S. Erickson, Marvin L. Steele,
Carl R. Swanson and Harry B. Tregent. Those voting "No" None.
Trustee N. T. Petrocine arrived and took his seat on the Council.
Mayor Ronald C. Brodie publicly thanked Mr. Elmer Graham, Superintendent
of the Bureau of Reclamation for their cooperation during the recent
critical water shortage.
There being no further business, it was regularly moved, seconded and
carried that the meeting adjourn.
