Minutes of a ___regular___ meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Town of Estes
Park, Larimer County, Colorado. Meeting held in the Town Hall in said Town of
Estes Park on the___9tla_____day of____January_......... , A. D. 19.67.. at regular
meeting hour.

Present: Mayor Clarence A. Graves Trustees: Ronald Brodie, Henry Dannels,
William Grove, Carl Swanson,
Harry Tregent
Also Present: Town Clerk Dale G. Hill
Absent: Trustee N. T. Petrocine
Minutes of the regular meeting held December 12, 1966, were read and approved
as read.
Trustee Carl Swanson moved the following bills be allowed and paid and the
Clerk be authorized to draw warrants for same. (A certified copy of the
bills read and allowed are on file in the office of the Town Clerk under
this date and made a part of the record of these proceedings by reference
thereto.) Trustee Henry Dannels seconded the motion. Upon roll call the
motion unanimously carried.
An application for a renewal of a Retail Fermented Malt Beverage License
for sale of 3.2% beer only was submitted for J. G. Houston, Jr., dba Round Up
Grocery & Delicatessen, 362 East Elkhorn Avenue, Estes Park, Colorado. Trustee
Carl Swanson moved the application be approved. Trustee Ronald C. Brodie
seconded the motion. Upon roll call the motion passed by the following votes.
Those voting "Yes" Trustees Ronald Brodie, Henry Dannels, William Grove, Carl
Swanson, and Harry Tregent. Those voting "No" none.
Mayor Graves announced the final payment was made to Park School District R-3
for the purchase of the athletic field parking lot site. Letters from the Town
Attorney and the School Attorney were read to the Council explaining the legal
technicalities involved in obtaining title to the above mentioned property.
A letter dated December 16, 1966, from the School Board was read to the Council.
This letter requested the Town Board support Mr. Ed Schultz's T.V. booster
station. The Town Board discussed the letter and went on record as urging
the citizens of the community to support Mr. Schultz's booster station.
Trustee Ronald Brodie, Chairman of the Light & Power Committee, reported on
a meeting of the Light & Power Committee as itemized in their minutes of
December 19, 1966, and moved the minutes be approved and adopted. Trustee
Brodie also included in the above motion the authorization to repair the
kitchen floor in the residence located at the hydro station. Trustee Tregent
seconded the motion. Upon roll call the motion unanimously carried.
Trustee Carl Swanson, Chairman of the Public Sanitation Committee, reported on
a meeting of the cities of Loveland, Ft. Collins, and Estes Park held with the
Larimer County Commissioners on December 28, 1966. This meeting was held for
the purpose of discussing the establishment of a statutory County Health Unit.
Trustee Swanson reported another meeting will be held Wednesday, January 11,
1967, for the same purpose.
Trustee Henry Dannels, Chairman of the Water Committee, reported on a meeting
of the Water Committee as itemized in their minutes of January 9, 1967, and
moved the minutes be approved and adopted. Trustee William Grove seconded
the motion. Upon roll call the motion unanimously carried.
The Board of Trustees discussed the procedures necessary for the Town of
Estes Park to annex to the Northern Colorado Water Conservancy District. The
Clerk was instructed to make the necessary arrangements for a community
meeting the first part of February with Mr. Hartwell and Mr. Barkley in at-
tendance to answer questions in regard to the Conservancy District.

Trustee Carl Swanson, Chairman of the Public Buildings & Parks Committee,
reported the State Drivers Licensing Bureau is looking for new quarters
in which to conduct their examinations. Trustee Carl Swanson reported
this problem is being studied and will be concluded in the near future.
There being no further business, it was regularly moved, seconded, and
carried that the meeting adjourn.
