Meeting held in the Town Hall in said Town of Estes Park on the_ __2JYh___day of June., _1. D. 19. 6.6... at regular meeting hour. Meeting called to order by Mayor ._...,Clarence...A...UravQ_s_...._._........._.w....._._......,.._.__.... Present: Mayor Clarence A. Graves Trustees: Ronald Brodie, Henry Dannels, William Grove, N. T. Petrocine, Carl Swanson, Harry Tregent Also Present: Town Clerk Dale G. Hill Absent: None Minutes of the regular meeting held June 13, 1966, were read and approved as read. Mrs. Wilma Glendenning and Dr. Lucille S. Hatlestad appeared before the Board of Trustees and asked the Board's consideration on the following items: 1. A crosswalk on Elkhorn Avenue west of the bridge. 2. A loading zone on Wiest Parking Lot 3. Some type of handrail on the sidewalk in front of their businesses. Trustees Carl Swanson and Harry Tregent will meet with Mrs. Glendenning on June 28, 1966, and discuss the above requests. The Clerk read a letter dated June 24th from Mr. Edward Burns, addressed to the Mayor and the Board of Trustees. Mr. Burns' letter requested the Board of Trustees to order the Estes Park Planning Commission to call a special meeting for the purpose of considering a zoning change for Country Club Es- tates Subdivision. After considerable discussion, Mayor Graves and the Board of Trustees decided not to ask the Planning Commission for a special meeting, but to let the matter take its normal course and be considered at the July 19th meeting of the Planning Commission. Trustee Henry Dannels introduced the following entitled ordinance and moved that it be passed and adopted on second reading: ANNUAL APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE OF THE MUNICIPAL WATER DEPARTMENT OF THE TOWN OF ESTES PARK, COLORADO, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JULY 1, 1966, AND ENDING JUNE 30, 1967. Trustee Carl Swanson seconded the motion. Upon roll call the motion passed by the following votes. Those voting "Yes", Trustees Ronald Brodie, Henry Dannels, William Grove, N. T. Petrocine, Carl Swanson and Harry Tregent. Those voting "No", none. Whereupon Mayor Graves declared said ordinance duly passed and adopted on second reading, ordered it numbered 299, and published according to law. The Clerk read a letter from Mr. Polevitzky, President of the U. S. 34 Fall River Association, requesting the Board of Trustees grant his Associ- ation a hearing before the Board of Adjustment in regard to a sign permit refused by Mr. Ted Hackett, Town Building Inspector. Trustee William Grove, Chairman of the Building Code Committee, reported to the Board he had talked with Mr. Polevitzky about the above -mentioned sign and explained how it violated the Town's sign ordinance. After a short discussion, Trustee Henry Dannels, Chairman of the Board of Adjustment, announced he would consider the request at a meeting of the Board of Adjustment to be held June 29th at 4:30 P.M. Mayor Graves proceeded to conduct a public hearing in regard to the proposed rezoning of Lot 30, Bonnie Brae Addition to the Town of Estes Park, Colorado. It is proposed to rezone the above -mentioned lot from existing R-1 Residence District to an R-2 Multiple Family Residence District. The Clerk read the legal notice published June loth, 17th and 24th in regard to this hearing. Mr. G. W. Brownfield spoke in favor of the rezoning. Graves Present: Mayor Also Present: Absent: Trustees: opposition to the rezoning. The Clerk reported no correspondence received, either for or against, the rezoning. Trustee Carl Swanson introduced the following entitled ordinance and moved that it be passed and adopted on first reading: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 12.4-1 AND 12.4-2 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE TOWN OF ESTES PARK, COLORADO, THE SAME PERTAINING TO ZONING DISTRICTS AND REZONING LOT 30, BONNIE BRAE ADDITION. Trustee Harry Tregent seconded the motion. Upon roll call the motion passed by the following votes. Those voting "Yes", Trustees Ronald Brodie, Henry Dannels, William Grove, N. T. Petrocine, Carl Swanson and Harry Tregent. Those voting "No", none. Whereupon Mayor Graves declared said ordinance duly passed and adopted on first reading, ordered it numbered 300, and pub- lished according to law. The Clerk read a letter from Mrs. Paul Turner, dated June 27, 1966, addressed to the Town Board. Mrs. Turner requested information on why trash and garbage had been allowed to accumulate at the Lake Sight Apartments on Aspen Street, The Clerk was instructed to follow up on the above -mentioned request. Trustee Ronald Brodie, Chairman of the Light & Power Committee, reported on a meeting of the Light & Power Committee, as itemized in their minutes of June 20, 1966, and moved that said minutes be approved and adopted. Trustee Harry Tregent seconded the motion. Upon roll call, the motion unanimously carried. Trustee Carl Swanson, Chairman of the Utility a meeting of the Utility Franchise Committee, June 17, 1966, and moved that said minutes be Harry Tregent seconded the motion. Upon roll carried. Franchise Committee, reported on as itemized in their minutes of approved and adopted. Trustee call, the motion unanimously Trustee N. T. Petrocine, Chairman of the Police Committee, reported on a meet- ing of the Police Committee as itemized in their minutes of June 16, 1966, and moved that said minutes be approved and adopted. Trustee William Grove seconded the motion. Upon roll call, the motion unanimously carried.
